A San Antonio school police officer who was filmed slamming a 12-year-old girl to the ground has been fired, with school district officials calling his actions 'absolutely unwarranted'.

The video, which was posted on YouTube last week, showed Officer Joshua Kehm lifting sixth-grader Janissa Valdez into the air before throwing her face-down onto the concrete walkway at Rhodes Middle School in Texas.

Kehm was placed on administrative leave after the video of the March 29th incident surfaced online, but the San Antonio Independent School District fired the officer with a statement released today stating: 'We want to be clear that we will not tolerate this behavior.'

She is flashing money she earned.

SAN ANTONIO - An officer who was caught on cellphone video slamming a female middle school student to the ground was fired Monday by the San Antonio Independent School District.

Officer Joshua Kehm, was placed on administrative leave effective last Wednesday, but the district decided to terminate his employment Monday, effective immediately.

"As educators, it is our responsibility to provide a safe environment for all of our students," SAISD Superintendent Pedro Martinez said in a statement. "We understand that situations can sometimes escalate to the point of requiring a physical response. However, in this situation we believe that the extent of the response was absolutely unwarranted.

They just fired Officer Joshua Kehm.

Why would a cop be called in the first place is beyond me. This is the school to handle.
