Not much going on here, except for going over old exams and studying for 3 tests (regular exam, lab practical, and final exam).

Can't do anything fun until that's all over with (though I might run up to a local bakery and treat myself to something good  :-)  ).

Let us know how you did on your tests today ACC.  :)

Tests aren't actually until tomorrow and Friday (2 tests tomorrow, final on Friday), but I'll definitely let y'all know.  :)

You're going to do great! Good luck to ya'. :)

This had better not be a "day thread".
You all KNOW what I think of day threads.

There's no TOTD so I don't think it qualifies as a day thread. Just a how-is-everyone-doing thread.

I signed up for a couple of classes today.  Now I'm trying to fit a third one in.

What classes did you sign up for?  (I'm taking a break from studying, if y'all are wondering  :uhsure: )

Automotive Aftermarket & Technology and Philosophy of American Life & Business

I want to get into the College Algebra class, but it keeps saying I need a prerequisite.  I'm going to call in the morning.  I can't fit the prerequisite into my schedule, they're all at noon.  Anywho, I need to call and see about what credits were transferred from UNT.

How has the marathon thing been going for you?

After I ran my first 5K in April I signed up for another on July 4th but did not start because my training was halted by various things, including the ungodly heat here. I knew it was going to be hot, but I really wasn't prepared for training in that kind of heat.

I'm itching to get out there again. The plan is to do at least one 5K in the fall and one 5K in the winter. If I can get a few small races under my belt, then I might consider bigger ones like 10-milers, half marathons, and the dreaded full marathon.  :uhsure:

Oh how I hate it when I get the pre-requisite  :bs: when I sign up for classes (especially online).  I almost didn't get into my Human Anatomy and Physiology 1 class for the fall because of that.  :(

Swimming is a good alternative.

I honestly don't recall ever having a prerequisite for College Algebra (took it awhile ago).   I'm pretty sure it was my first math course in college, followed by pre-calculus (which I didn't do so well in, so I'm taking it again in the spring to improve my grades).

I hope they can fix things so you can take the class.  :)

I had to re-take Calculus too. I got a "D" in it the first time and a "C" in it the second time. I was just happy to get a passing grade. I loathed that class.

They're saying I need an "Intermediate Algebra" class first.   :whatever:

Yay.  Found what I was looking for.  A small piece of round glass and some JB Weld, and I'm in bidness.

I like how they put these stories on the back of their packaging.  :p

Cool, then I can flirt with you about this...

I doubt it.  I'm going to hate algebra.  I never use it.  I will never use it.  I know exactly what kind of math I need for my job and the job I'm going for and that's addition, subtraction and sometimes percentages.  And we all use printing calculators.  LOL

The class I got a D in was called "Business Calculus" and was THE  reason I switched majors (to radiography).  :uhsure:   I think I'm better off as a science major than a business major.   :cheersmate:
