1) Don't f*ck some stranger at the theater and expect good things to happen
2) No matter how disgusting, use a freakin condom, would you?

Blaming others, primarily Republicans, for failure to cure the results of personal behaviour, is a typically liberal/gay argument.

The RCP journalist is not conservative, just honest. FWIW, Reagan budgets, cumulatively, spent on the order of $2B for AIDS research. And that was at a time when the research infrastructure was being built up from near zero. And as the past nearly 3 decades have proved, AIDS is not so simple that throwing a few extra $100Ms or $1Bs at AIDS research would have saved so much as a single life - in the 80s, 90s, 00s, or ... .

My line - then and now - was, "Don't stick things where they don't belong." It includes both anal intercourse and needle drug use, the two major vectors, then and now, for spreading AIDS.

Of course, gays and druggies are protected PC classes.
