Two Straight Debates On National Security, And No Questions About The Real Threat To The Globe

Source: Huffington Post

In a Democratic debate focused on national security Saturday evening, one topic was notably missing from moderators' questions: climate change.

Even though a major climate agreement was reached recently, it didn't even come up during Saturday's two-hour debate or the GOP debate on Tuesday.

Climate change can increase the likelihood of migration pressures and change the availability of natural resources, which can lead to conflict among different groups of people. The issue has also been linked to the cause of the Syrian civil war -- which the candidates did spend a chunk of time discussing Saturday evening.

5. Because the money that's invested in the media is also invested in war.

Just keep us focused on fear.

Meanwhile, doing the responsible things like infrastructure, and attention to climate change don't have an immediate return on investment. Same thing for bailing the criminal bankers out, while leaving us with the tab.

3. Sanders is the only one who DID say CLIMATE CHANGE IS OUR REAL THREAT.

Did you miss that? The moderators moved on quickly. Hillary nor O'Malley said a word.

Sanders IS THE ONE who keeps saying it, because it's true!

18. If Islamists continue to spread, where the shoreline is wont matter.

And its not going to be brought up much because the polls show the topic way down the list with voters.

And tying climate change to Syria is ridiculous. The trouble in Syria comes from the people being tired of the iron rule of a dictator and trying to overthrow him. And then fighting more among themselves than fighting the dictator's army creates even more problems than they had to start with

Oh, poo. Stop trying to insert logic into DU.

Polls consistently show that the global climate hoax ranks down with worrying about ingrown toenails with most people.

So, ABC's moderators didn't bring up a Prog talking-point issue:

Progs' interpretation: ABC avoided a critical, winning, Progressive issue. ABC is a right-wing corporation.

Conservatives' interpretation: ABC didn't want to waste candidates' time and ABC airtime on a losing issue no one cares about. ABC didn't want The CHILL and The Bern-Out to make fools of themselves on ABC's airtime dime.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

My sentiments almost exactly.
Just like the occupoop movement.
I thought that would be an anchor and an albatross around dem's and lib's necks that would sink them to the bottom of the ocean.
But it didn't seem to hurt them a bit.
I would think the absurdness of the glow bull warming issue would take away any credibility from the dems that an undecided voter might evaluate.
But then again, I never thought Slick Willie Clinnochio could ever be elected.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
