I hate to spring this thought on my fellow cavers, but I think the first Dem candidate to offer Clinnochio the bottom of the presidential ticket will receive an enthusiastic yes.

He is the most popular Dem alive, but he is ineligible.

That would be interesting.  Would Clinocchio be elevated to the Presidency, seeing that the 22nd Amendment allows for someone to serve two years as President after serving eight years?  Then who?

Despite Hillary with approximately at 60/30 advantage in Iowa in polling, there is FAR more of a ground swell of support for Crazy Uncle Bernie here.  Remember, she wants to be coronated, and not have to campaign, especially at farms & small towns in Iowa.  She thinks it is beneath her.

I suspect that Sanders has still a slight possibility of winning Iowa.  Since New Hampshire is essentially in his backyard, he could certainly win there.  Then the media narrative would change to "what's wrong with Hillary?". That would be kind of fun.

Gerald Ford's succession to the Presidency is the most likely possibility.  A procedure to appoint a non-elected VP to the vacancy in that office, who would then succeed to the Presidency when the (Formerly-VP) President Clinocchio is forced to resign in turn by operation of the 22nd Amendment...but it would only arise in the unlikely event that the elected President became unable to complete his or her term.

Yes.

The last sentence of the Twelfth Amendment says, "But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States."

Clenis had his two full terms as POTUS. He is ineligible to be elected or appointed VP.

Then Jeb better get to work lining Clinnochio up. They're both Dems although one has a R after his name.

That would be an interesting ticket.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Yep ineligible. Part of the Veep requirements is that the candidate is also eligible to be President. Bubba isn't.

I'm not sure of the legalities, but there are legal minds who have opined that he would be eligible for VP, and if he had to step into the presidency he would be limited to 2 years in that position.

Sorry. I should have specified Senor Jeb, he who will make Mexico great again.
Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

Because only the left goes searching for that which is not there in a desperate attempt to be offended about something.

I am certainly no legal mind, but speaking as a black Basset hound named Dewey, the last sentence of the 12th Amendment looks pretty unambiguous to me.
