19. It Already Happened
I think it has already happened. The military is the most well funded sector of government.
Then why are only somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 out of all the combat brigades in the U.S. Army fully mission capable right now? If we're so fully and well funded why are the suits in DC trying to screw up our retirement plan?
The DoD budget...I'll say this again...represents somewhere in the neighborhood of 4% of GDP...Welfare and all the other unfunded liabilities represent around 16% of the GDP of the U.S. and it's growing.
So tell me asshole...who is REALLY the most well funded sector of the government?
Even the president, supposedly the commander in chief of the armed forces, can't close down Guantanamo!
That's because even rank and file members of his own party are against the idea of bringing those terrorist scumbags currently housed at Gitmo to the U.S. and into their districts where they might threaten people that vote for them.
Military generals are already speaking to the news media with political opinions that push our president around, telling him what to do next.
Really? Name one. I dare you.
Remember that General Patreaus had his own little
fiefdom in the Middle East where he invited Neocons to help him run countries and wars.
Hmmm he was only a Division Commander in Iraq and THE PRESIDENT asked him to run Afghanistan and take a lesser (by position) job than the one he had at CENTCOM to try and un-**** what was happening in Afghanistan.
Are you now going to tell me that in your definition of things...Obama is a Neocon?
I see this as the military not being under the control of our president. The coup has already occured.
