Fight over Facebook post leads to SWAT scene at Houston townhome

HOUSTON – A man is in custody after a SWAT stand-off in southeast Houston that lasted several hours Saturday.

It happened in the 7700 block of Leonara near Telephone Road and Bellfort.

The suspect's mother said a police officer shot at her son even though according to her, he was not a threat to them.

All over a Facebook post. I wonder what is his DU name is.

The suspect is now in custody possibly facing charges of aggravated assault of a public servant.

So, if the cops had never showed up, he may or may not have committed suicide, but he wouldn't be under arrest.

It's nasty and cynical of me to thus speculate (I haven't looked at the linked article), but what are the Las Vegas odds the "suspect's mother" is black?

Edit: I checked and I was wrong (unless the mother is ethnically part African). The mother's first and family names are Hispanic.
