We're supposed to believe this is about her neighbor.  Yeah, right.  This is one of the saddest, most transparent attempts at trying to redirect the narrative of the primitive in question to someone else that I think I've seen at the DUmp.  See if I'm right:

what's the netiquette on breaking up with someone via text msg?

Mid 50s neighbor woman got a text last night from the fellow she's been seeing for about six months -- they had a very close relationship that was very hot at times, and very sweet. He told her that he had started to see another woman and it was not sexual yet. He had known the new interest for about a year as just an acquaintance. Then he said goodnight and that was it. No further communication.

Isn't that pretty rude?

What say you, kids?

1. It's not only rude, it's cowardly.

The guy didn't have the guts to break up with her in person. She's better off without him.

Very strange, very strange.

It just goes to show that even a kind, progressive/liberal, enlightened man can lie to a woman with impunity. He did.

23. i at least had the decency to call the last person i broke up with

i'm gen x/millenial cusp. it was long distance and i could have just texted or instant messaged him, but i was at least adult to pick up the phone.

All in all, that was probably for the best for him.  Lord knows how long the fizzgig primitive goes between showers when she's on a drug binge.

32. they really DO have a lot in common

It seemed like a perfect match.

And his best friends are old girlfriends from HS and college, which seemed to be a very good sign about how he treats women.

Then this.

If this were true, it would explain some of grasswipe Judy's reduced postings over the last few months.  I believe that we will see a higher output of material from Judy now, which is great, since we are rolling into the DOTY season.

Um where was the lie? Judy couldn't keep her man happy with her pie, so he found a sweeter tart.

I would think they'd prefer it that way.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Well, this leaves me curious about something.

We know what thunderthighs' husband's like.

One wonders what it was, that she dumped for him.

It's possible Judy's finally been tricked by her guardians, and moved into a nursing home.....where they allow inmates to hang around on the internet during regular business hours, but not after, which might, or might not, explain her diminished tally of comments.

I doubt poor addled grasswipe Judy Smith is talking about herself.

There's no place for courtship in the grasswipe clan; they get down to business immediately.

You may recall that poor addled grasswipe, in her sixties, claimed to have great-great-great-grandhildren.

That kind of production doesn't allow much time for corsages and moonlight strolls.

Isn't she the DUmmy who is looking over her glasses in every picture she takes? No man, woman, or child would be interested in hitting that, unless of course we speak literally.

Yeah.  I'm guessing she baked and then offered him a pie that looked as bad as the one she made here:

Poor adddled grasswipe Judy's strawberry pie would be an appropriate dessert after choking down a bowl of DUmmy NJCher's infamous puke stew.

That's probably all it was in the first place but someone misinterpreted it and it became a full blown romance in her mind. DUmmies get clingy, whiny & dependent. Maybe it spooked him.

Speaking of her pie, I can't help wondering if the intoxicated monkey she had decorating it really intended to make a comma, or was working on a spiral but just ran out of sliced strawberries a quarter turn into the second loop.

Yup.  That's exactly what I was thinking.

Shortly after college, I had been dating this girl for a couple months who was still in college, which was about four hours from my house.  In that short 2 month period, she decided that we should get engaged, married, have kids, etc.  Even finagled her way into meeting my mom by showing up when I was out to lunch with her.  Needless to say I wasn't driving the four hours to break up with her in person for a relationship that only existed in her mind.  I called her, and she wouldn't answer cause she knew something up was up, so I ultimately went with texting her.  Needless to say, that summer when she came back from school, I had a bit of a stalker, constantly showing up at the bars/places she knew I frequented.

And surprise, she was a liberal.
