I rowed this spark of a campfire over here because I know how much our Big_Dog likes a sandwich, and so this entire post seems HIGHLY suspicious.  :popcorn:

Faux News Hostess To Feminists: ‘Make A Sandwich’ and Your Husbands Won’t Leave You

Former reality TV star Rachel Campos-Duffy asserted on Tuesday that conservatives had happier and longer marriages because liberal women refused to make sandwiches for their husbands.

A recently released study from professors at the University of Virginia and University of Utah found that Republican couples were more likely to say they were happy with their marriage. On Tuesday’s edition of Outnumbered, Campos-Duffy, who has seven children and is married to Republican Rep. Sean Duffy, argued that the religion was more important than politics when it came to a successful marriage.

“I think more Republicans tend to be religious people,” she explained. “And I know for myself — and I know in the Greek Orthodox Church it’s the same idea of sanctification, that marriage is a sacrament, it’s a holy thing. And my job being married is to get my husband and my kids to heaven with me. And I think that changes the whole perspective.” Campos-Duffy added: “And it shows they are more likely to get divorced because they won’t make that sandwich… Make the sandwich, darn it.”

Co-host Andrea Tantaros reminded viewers that she had been mocked by liberals and feminists because she recently advised women to make men sandwiches after sex to keep them happy. “I support this,” she told her co-hosts. “It’s not transporting women back to the 1950s, it’s just kindness.” “Then I get crucified by feminists, mostly we know coming from liberal blogs,” Tantaros continued. “And I just thought, ‘What’s the alternative?’ I mean, ladies, if you want to fight with me all day and be against the side of kindness and respect for the one that you love, that’s a fight I’ll have all day long.”

But, OK, stereotypes usually have some basis in reality (usually mixed with a lot of BS). Here's a true life bouncy:

One of my parents had mental problems (I know, explains a lot) and was verbally-emotionally abusive. But my Dad was faithful to my Mom to the day she died. Somehow, I don't think that's what af had in mind when she spoke of remaining in abusive marriages.

Another true life bouncy ... I attend a "mega-church" in San Jose. The senior pastor has spoken in sermons, more than once, of his advice to women whose husbands are physically abusive (i.e. what af had in mind, mostly). What he advises is rather simple, "Get out! Do what you need to do to protect you and your children!"

I suspect what you mean by 'Real man' is some totally-whipped POS that will submit to your egotistical will at every turn and defer to you in all things, basically nothing more than a self-maintaining dildo with a sound chip containing a library of flattering comments and affirmations of your decisions, ideally one with a lot more money than you have.

Good luck finding one, sugarpants, prize retards like that usually end up getting snapped up by ugly-on-the-inside women with a lot better exteriors than any chick on DU can bring to the competition.  Those pathetic not-men also tend to not be all that good-looking on the outside themselves, since what you're looking for goes hand-in-hand with low self-esteem, but then maybe you like the bony or pudgy ones.  But you might try academia, if looks aren't important.

The sandwich is beside the point, it's just a symbolic expression of caring as much for your partner and his or her happiness as you do for your own.  It is, therefore, something beyond your comprehension and totally out of your reach.
