Attacking Bernie Sanders over racial issues is like attacking white DUers over "white privilege".

Deliberate shit-stirring, alienating allies in the cause of anti-racism, absolutely unproductive and achieves precisely nothing, all while the Republicans look on and chuckle.

Well, you sure got THAT right, Nye. I mean, you guys will eat each other over ANYTHING, which you don't even see ZOMBIES do.

I always thought Nye is something of a mole, but he/she/it makes a point that I have detected as latent on DU: their zeal to appear lefter-than-thou is causing them to consume the leftiest of them all, Bernie Sanders. The trouble is, they're sort of right. I mean, who is Bernie Sanders? He's a HONKY. Not just any old honky, either: he's pretty much a character in a Woody Allen movie: old, liberal, weird, neurotic, self-absorbed, and clueless about anything that isn't as white bread as himself. Slowly the DUmmies realize that the man of their dreams is probably someone like Bill deBlasio, a raging moonbat who has sunk himself not only into black culture, but also into an actual black woman. His SON HAS AN AFRO.

I think the DUmmies are very slowly realizing that their choice comes down to a slice of Wonder bread, or a slice of Pepperidge Farm, and they don't like it one bit. So they start chucking spears at each other over race, and sure enough and right on schedule, here comes the most serious case of HDD (Honky Disassociation Disorder) on DU to date:

someone complain about their white privilege not protecting them from admitting they have with privilege.

This from Rolex Randy, almost certainly one of the most privileged of all the DUmmies, having inherited his father's insurance business in a part of the country that black people probably don't know exists (anyone else notice that Randy didn't post all weekend? Probably having a jamboree in his lily-white town with his lily-white family. Talk about privilege.) I feel for Randy...instead of trying to put blackface on, he's trying to scratch his white off. It won't work.

No win situation when dealing with whackos.

If you admit to white privileges, then all is OK. If you don't admit it, then you're wrong and it's your white privilege which permits you not to take it seriously. I see no reason to engage with kooks who have set up a situation where you're either going to admit it or, by not doing so, be accused of engaging in it.

If the option of "it doesn't exist" is not a valid position, then the whole premis of "white privilege" disproves itself. And anyone who would disagree with that proves my point.

     The environment on DU is so caustic and cannibalistic that agreement is no guarantee of safety. If your bootclick doesn't pass muster with the hastily-arranged Race Mafia on DU (whites only, naturally), you risk one of Rolex Randy's dreaded "LOLs." It's such a pussified, fear-laden place now that no one DARES call the Mafia out. God forbid anyone say, "yes, KamaAina, but..." or "well, MohRokTah, I'm not so sure that..."

     I would have some empathy for the Nye Bevans of DU, but they won't stand up for themselves and they consent to being beaten down over race by other white folks whose main claim to authority is that they KNOW a black person.
