Wiccan Good Luck Ceremony Ends Poorly

According to a Lebanon Police Department news release, Katherine Gunther, 36, was performing a Wiccan "ceremony of thanks" in Oak Hill Cemetery around 12:15 a.m. Saturday when she ran the blade through her left foot. She said in an interview Monday that she'd had a run of good luck recently and wanted to give thanks with the rite.

According to police, no charges are expected to be filed in the case, although Gunther and her friends were warned against trespassing in the cemetery after established visiting hours.

A word of warning to overly-ambituous DUmmies... stick with the sage 'smudging'.  The worst you can do is burn your house down.

Wanna bet it was with some cheap imitation sword.If it had been a real one she might have been left with half a foot hacked off.

That's why I like my religion better. No staying up half the night going thru these ceremonies in strange places. You can just say thanks and be in bed by 9pm if you want.

I disagree, had the maroon not hacked its foot off she may have wandered off through the cemetery and fallen into an open grave, there to lie in defenseless agony while being eaten by wild animals.

She needs to do the ceremony again for her good fortune.
