The day after the last elections in Greece--it was a few months ago--the primitives had a thread celebrating the defeat of the austerity Greeks, which provided a classic textbook example of the way primitives think, or rather, don't think.

The primitives thought that Greece could just go on, everybody on the dole, and there'd be no piper to pay.  In other words, no consequences to wild and reckless spending, to orgiastic giveaways.

Reality is there is no way that Greece can repay the multiples of their total yearly GDP that have already been loaned/gifted to them.

The Germans should have cut them off two bailouts ago. It would have been better for all concerned.

I wouldn't bet on the forces of sanity winning that referendum, if there were that many of them, Greece wouldn't be where it is now.  Of course we'd be in the same boat in 20 years if the Dems got a stranglehold on the Presidency, so it's at least instructive to watch.

Well if the GOPe gets control it will be 21.3 years. Not much of a difference.

The NYT put out a very clever, reasoned, and fully self aware tweet that went; "Trillions Spent, but Crises Like Greece's Persist."

If you starrt out with 1+1=POTATO, nothing else no matter how well reasoned will be complete shit.
