Hasn't happened yet, hope it doesn't, just put it on ten minutes ago.

But this made me think of something, maybe if ALL of us stood up for Gay people and Black people and so on, Women, etc., then none of us would have to worry about the bigots, way more of us than there is of them.

Something like that, anyway.

Oh, and don't you just love the black = gay BS?

Incidentally, some asshole down the block has a "Let's Play Cowboys and Liberals" sticker. The temptation is great.

My rather conservative dad has a Prius.  I have to say, I like it.  For the gas mileage, primarily.

We were thinking about getting my wife a Prius C, for commuting to and from her job.  We decided that we didn't want another car payment.

Cousin has one and another cousin has a FORD hybrid something. Both are getting mileage in the 30's. Hell, I had an Oldsmobile 98 diesel with everything that got 32 round town and 34/35 on the road. I'd rather just have a simple diesel and be done with it.

I used to think that a diesel would be a good idea . . . Then I did some digging around.  Up here, the difference in price would negate most of the mileage advantage (if not all of it).  Most mechanics around me won't work on them, so finding a good diesel mechanic would be a problem.  The nearest gas station that had diesel was less than a mile from me--then the convenience store chain that ran the place closed it.  Not sure where the next-nearest one is.

My dad gets 45 mpg at the low end of fuel economy.

Just got myself a 2015 Toyota Corolla LE.  I wanted to stay away from hybrids due to the cost of replacing the battery pack when it wears out. So far I'm getting 36 MPG and am quite happy with it.
