General Lee, 'Dukes of Hazzard' car, to lose Confederate flag following controversy

Quote
As several major retailers pull merchandise featuring the confederate flags from their shelves, an icon of the popular TV series "Dukes of Hazzard" will also stop sporting the battle flag.

General Lee, the 1969 Dodge Charger driven by Bo and Luke Duke on the show, will no longer feature the confederate flag on its roof, according to Yahoo! News. Merchandise and toy replicas of the car have remained popular despite the series being off the air for decades....

Ben Jones, who portrayed Cooter Davenport on the show, took to Facebook to air out his disagreement with the decision in a long rant.

"That flag on top of the General Lee made a statement that the values of the rural South were the values of courage and family and good times," said Jones.

You stay classy, Cooter.

1. Stay a vicious hating rightwing piece of shit till the very end, then we can make sure

your legacy is total SHIT

Wow, that's quite a bold stance to take there, Shaw. Disregarding the legacy of Cooter. From the Dukes of Hazzard. Which was canceled something like 30 years ago. Curiously missing is Randy's analysis of the legacies of Chachi from Happy Days, Mrs. Roper from Three's Company, and Captain Merrill Steubing from the Love Boat.

I wonder if anyone near or dear to Randy is aware that he has completely lost his marbles and is in need of help. More help than usual, I mean.

  • O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
Cooter was an elected Democrat congressman for a number of years and after a few TV interviews he faded to the background. Way more classy than Randy

Randy would offer his white ass to Cooter before he had a chance to drop him.

You know what...I never once bought a Dixie Outfitters shirt thinking, "Wow, I've GOT to get this T-Shirt because I hate black people". I bought them because they depicted the Southern Culture that I love. I didn't know the Stars and Bars had ANYTHING to do with racial hatred until the late 1990's when Jessie Jackson started raising hell about it. The terrible history of slavery was never on my mind when I saw the battle flag.

I'm going to get my DixieRose tattoo re-done. The colors have started to fade a little, and this crap has pissed me off enough to make it nice and bright again.

I bought a flag from his online shop.

I like the way the hating pieces of shit over there at the DUmp accuse others of hate. There is not a more hateful group on the face of the earth, and that includes ISIS.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Ben Carson called for us to look beyond political ideologies.  I believe that's incredibly naive.

The Far Left hates conservatives, hates Christians, hates white men.

 .

Yes, it is.  Carson is a cultured, highly educated, supremely accomplished individual who always tries to take the high road.

That doesn't work with the excrement of humanity.

He doesn't see that in the bubble, and he does, lives in and travels through. He should be getting an education right now.

My boyfriend's nephews (all early to mid 20s) have never flown a Confederate flag that I know of. I've known them for 10 years, and I've never seen one on them. This morning, one of them had a HUGE old style GA state flag in the back of his truck. I'm sure he's not the only one who has gone out an bought one just for spite. Us Rednecks can be a stubborn bunch.

BTW...I don't have a "Rebel" flag either; but I'm going to remedy that this weekend.
