44 of them have served since the end of the Civil War.

Of those 44 only 8 have been Republicans have served as governor during the entirety of the state's history and all of them after 1865.

Of those 8 only 5 of those in the modern era.

You know I don't understand why everyone believes the CSA Navy jack or Virginia battle flag is the Confederate flag.   Why they don't fly the Stars and Bars is beyond me.
