So when did you learn liberals were completely evil and/or insane?
For me it was during the Bush Presidency. I was much younger, in the Air Force at the time. I never really cared for politics due to being a young guy who wanted to hang out with friends, chase women, try to get booze underage (at the time). I don't know what triggered it in me. But I noticed pop culture taking a pretty dark turn when it came to the President. Madonna making a music video with her throwing a grenade at Bush, shows on Comedy Central like My Lil' Bush! and entire music festivals like Rock Against Bush were pretty prevalent. To me it was surreal. He didn't come off as a bad guy, but the effort the Left was putting into discrediting, lampooning and in my opinion sometimes threatening him in the pop culture media was pretty astounding.
Then came the McCain/Palin Presidential run which sealed the deal for me. After the election was lost, I figure that was pretty much the end of it. Not for the liberals though. The way they went after Palin and her family after the loss reminded me of kicking someone in the head after they were down. It was outright disgusting how they couldn't win with grace, but had to continuously go on the attack of a defeated opponent as if it was punishment for having the audacity to oppose them.
The things I've learned since and am still learning about these people is alarming. You'd think after so much time on the brink of being completely totalitarian they would possibly step back. Instead they seem all too ready to jump on that cliff and into the sea of total facism.
