3. I am hearing a few homes blocked in

swift water rescue getting ready... vehicles under water, This is ugly.

Me will have to decide soon if I want to go to that muck to gather news or if it will be more effective to stay home and use the scanner.

If the DUmp runs nadin off again I don't know if they can survive. Truly. Me will be sad.

9. Yup. I went looking for trouble

where other media were not. But that was not one of them.

Also a car was caught in front of the post office at Midway, and barnett... 3 plus feet of standing water.

3 plus feet of standing water? Isn't that like 20 nadinmeters?

If you're looking for trouble
You came to the right place
If you're looking for trouble
Just look right in my face

Well, I'm evil, so don't you mess around with me

6. And this was record rainfall

and yes I did go out there. Most of the damage remains in the Midway district, I went looking at other places that are problematic around the area. The barriers at Fashion Valley should be gone soon-ish. But if you have the gear, why not?

Me not have the gear is why. Me stay home.

17. I got STORM installed on the phone

it draws from NWS, but has a few other things added that help, that the NWS app does not have. It has wind direction, fronts, and distance. So if you know how to guesstimate weather, you got most of the tools. The front is going south, south east...

We find it extremely useful during fires, since we get meso level wind readings in the field. They are not exact, but good enough for us to know when things will be ahem... interesting.

Skills I never expected to ever use again... I now use them regularly.

YAY, we will even get... snow... snow in mid may. GAD. A month of no fires... there is a good thing.

If you go somewhere and the only people you see are nadin and Asher Heimermann, there probably isn't anything newsworthy going on.

It's really amazing, though, that she had the courage to go out in the rain.

That's a picture of the trolley stop at Fashion Valley Mall, approx 75-100 yards from her condo complex.  She really put herself at risk.  She also posted a picture of a puddle.

Is the overpass photo anywhere near the 3 plus feet of standing water? I ask because it doesn't appear to be 3 plus feet of standing water.

I remember some time ago seeing a photo on a news website of an overpass after a flood somewhere around my state. I could see something glowing in the water that was beneath the overpass. After examining the photo more closely I could tell that the glow was from the tail lights of a completely submerged car directly beneath the overpass. Now THAT was a flood related news photo. Nadin's photo just looks like wet asphalt under an overpass.

and I am at home now. Only going out if that radio starts hopping again. I was thinking of an early night, but nope... not until the advisory expires.
Oh Noes! Nadin is going to...stay up late. She will suffer because her blog is the only reliable source of news for all of California.

California needs the rain. Even if it causes some flooding, it will help fill up reservoirs. :whistling:

Well, of course that pink stuff be retardant.

But as horrendous as rainwater puddles and three feet of standing water in an underpass may be, it could be worst.

A couple of years ago nadin narrowly escaped five meters of hailstones in mexico.

The actual flooding occurred near the Marine Recruit Depot, about 4 or 5 miles away.  They just closed the roads near the mall as a precaution, thank God nadin was there to document it.

Mad skills in reporting weather.
The Hippy Dippy Weatherman would be jealous.
The snow in mid May will bolster glow bull warming claims.

That was my thought as well. Are there as many as 5 DU-folk within San Diego County? Looks to me like she's trying to get more views than her blogsite does. There's a term commonly applied to people posting at a discussion site entirely to promote their blogsite, "Spammer". nads may contribute enough to discussions not about her blogsite that she isn't quite a spamster, but this series of posts is really close to spamming.

From out of the clear blue, nutcase nadin delivers a stinging rebuke to the DUmmies.

Not sure what brought this on, but it's the first time she's ever written "TPP" correctly.

Anyway, I'm sure a lot of DUmmy heads hang low, and a lot of DUmmy eyes brim with barely-suppressed tears after this tough love from nadin.

After this morning ahem, events, I am all but impressed with a few here.

Nor am I interested in sharing what is happening in my state, let alone my town. We are not part of the United States... that is clear by now.

One of my other favorite forums is called Forum 419 Eater where folks screw with advance fraud scammers (Nigerian princes etc.).  One of their great accomplishments along with getting Mugu's (scammers) bank accounts shut down or traveling around Africa on their own dime is to reach a state of "self baiting".  I think Nads has reached a state of self bullying.
