Kentuck is asking for the tombstone...

As of today, I am supporting Bernie Sanders for President.

He may not win. Most likely he won't.

But that is not the most important reason to give him my vote.

The reason he will have my vote is that the Democratic Party has lost its way. Somebody needs to put it back on the right track. Somebody needs to talk about issues that matter to average Americans. Bernie has shown that he is willing to do that.

We, as Democrats, need to know what other Democrats are thinking about money in politics, about secret trade treaties, about preserving and strengthening Social Security, about cutting back on the military adventurism, about how our democracy is corrupted by money, etc. It is not acceptable to many of us that some candidates may want to be ambiguous on these issues. We need to hear them talk about those issues. We can no longer vote on blind faith.

I want my Party to believe in the same principles and issues that I believe in. That may seem unrealistic to a lot of Democrats? Bernie Sanders has been talking about the issues that I think are most important to our country. We need to have the discussion. It will be healthy for the Democratic Party.

(I reserve the right to change my vote if Elizabeth Warren changes her mind and decides to run)

Tsk tsk. One two the pizza is coming for you.

14. Bernie can't be bought by the Kochs as you imply. You do not know his history re money do you?

Look into where he has raised money in the past, he has I think perhaps the best record regarding taking money from wealthy interests. Where do you get the idea that the Kochs can buy him for a few million dollars?

The front runner I can see, she is already purchased by the banks, probably room for one more at the 'ol influence troth in that camp. Remember she had no problem with the Kochs giving her and the other founding members of the DLC money (and seats on the board of that center right organization) when they started up.

Well, I have to say I am very proud that she/he said this.  This is what all of us should want in our president/nomination/representative/government.

Bernie isn't even a Democrat, so he can't run in the primary unless he switches parties.  He has also said he would not run as a third party candidate.

It really doesn't matter who they claim they will vote for because when it comes time to pull the lever they will vote for whomever their masters tell them to vote for.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

I'm reminded of one of the classic posts ever at Old Elm Tree.

"Tombstone me, Andrea, for ****'s face, tombstone me!"

At least he's not facing wallduding.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
