I was driving across Wyoming a couple weeks ago late at night. Had a cross wind gusting to 70 mph. Was going slow at about 45 mph when I'd go through draws. I see something blowing onto the highway. It was a cottontail rabbit! Just getting rolled. Every time his belly was toward the pavement, his legs would shoot outward. He'd tuck them back in when he got rolled onto his back. I was on in interstate so I got to see several tumbles as he rolled across the pavement.
I have to admit it made me laugh.
Shortly after I came to a spot where some silver coated insulation was caught on the guardrail and flapping straight across the right hand lane. I called highway patrol so they could remove it. Dispatcher said "I bet you're seeing lots of stuff flying around out there tonight." I said if Easter was late I knew why, and told her about the rabbit. We both got a kick out of that.
