Just in case some DU member happens to wander in here and sees this, here is a possibly useful summary of events to date:
* The pizza shop was happily making pizza and related food/beverages, as they have for some 9 years;
* The "news" editor at an ABC TV affiliate nearly 30 miles away sent a reporter to that specific pizza shop, driving past scores or even a couple hundred other restaurants;
* The "reporter" sought out the owner and asked her of the pizza shop would cater a same-sex "wedding";
* The owner informed that "reporter" that they would not, and that they had never been asked to do so, the latter something the "reporter" acknowledged on social media;
* The news station hyped the non-story on-air and on their website, and national MSM and homosexual activists transmogrified a response to a "reporter's" question by the owner of a restaurant in a small rural town into a national story;
* Homosexual activists and miscellaneous sympathetic Libs and Progs bombarded the pizza shop with messages of hatred, overwhelmed the Yelp page for the restaurant with fake, negative, reviews;
* An employee at a St. Louis, MO radio station set up a GoFundMe for the restaurant; thousands or tens of thousands of people have donated ~$500K (as of the morning of 4/3) to that account.
A more brief summary of what has happened so far would be that a TV station's "news" department targeted a known Christian-owned business, created a huge faux cause celebre, ginned up the predictable outrage and threats of violence, and the whole mess is starting to blow up in the faces of the MSM and homosexual activists, courtesy of many thousands of decent people.
