Reading the crazed conspiracies on this topic at DU and comparing them to this thread -- filled with jumping to unsubstantiated conclusions -- I cannot decide which group is more unhinged.

We'll call it a tie.

Buzz, between the large number of false-flag provocations by members of PC-minorities and Libs'/Progs' propensity to jump to amusingly wrong conclusions, the guessing here has a pretty fair chance of being correct. But Lib/Prog blind squirrels might actually find a nut that isn't one of them ... some day ... so ...

BTW, Buzz, if you are an employee of Cisco - First Street- SR237 area? - you might want to check their corporate policy on use of their company logo in social media. Between that and copyright law, use of Cisco's logo as your avatar is probably a big no-no.

Per this AP article, posted some 4 hours ago:

The university identified the person after several fellow students came forward with information, and the undergraduate student admitted to hanging the noose from a tree at a plaza in the heart of campus, university spokesman Michael Schoenfeld said Thursday.

Schoenfeld said the student has left campus but is still enrolled. He declined to describe the culprit's gender, race or whether the student had been in trouble in the past, citing privacy laws.

So Duke is still refusing to identify the student or describe the student. Further, the student was found through information from other students, who have not spoken, even annoymorously, to the MSM. I'll repeat what I said yesterday. I could be wrong, but I think there's a better than even chance that the person who did this was not the stereotypical white male who is "supposed" to do such things.

They have the person who hung the noose in the tree but aren't releasing any further information. Seems likely it was another liberal hoax.

Another day, no official statement from Duke, and no leaks from Duke University profs or employees or the students whose reports to the university enabled finding the person who crafted and hung the noose. I'm not complaining, nor am I on tenterhooks until the person's identity is made public. I'm just highlighting how differently this is being handled by Duke and how anomalous the lack of leaks is. IMO - and I am speculating - there's something unexpected about the perp, or Duke finally learned from getting their collective nose bloodied by the Lacrosse team false accusation fiasco. And I'm sufficiently cynical about university administration and faculty to think the latter unlikely.
