If the professional Hillary haters have to resort to things like this, it's a great sign.

Here's the thing. The point of this story is that some donors to the Clinton foundation had accounts at HSBC, which is currently under investigation.

What they fail to mention is that HSBC is the second largest bank in the world.  A lot of people and organizations have accounts there. And, hilariously, the Clinton Foundation wasn't even one of them.

Of course, even if they did, that would mean nothing. It would be like saying that anyone with a Chase account is partly responsible for the financial crisis.

But this is even stupider. It's not even guilt by association, it's by association to association. It's like saying that anyone who ever cashes a check from someone else with a Chase account is responsible for the financial crisis!

Among the Bush Foundation donations through HSBC clients reportedly included thousands from a convicted sex offender.

All this came to light after a whistleblowing former HSBC employee at the Swiss branch leaked thousands of confidential documents about the bank’s account holders and transactions in what has become known as SwissLeaks.

Does the foundation pay salaries to her, him, members of their family, or close allies/associates?  Does it make grants to close associates, supporters, and bundlers?  It's just a money laundromat.

I notice none of them go any pains to explain the benign, apolitical, and beneficial undertakings of that foundation.
