THE GOP IS GOING TO STEAL THE 2016 ELECTION!

GOP well positioned to steal the presidency in 2016
With the combination of unlimited dollars, voter suppression, and 28 states under Republican rule, the GOP is set to steal another presidential election. Two crucial states, Ohio and Florida, have Republican governors. All that’s needed is a so-called “moderate†candidate such as Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, or Mitt Romney, and they’ll gather enough votes to make the theft “invisible†to the majority of Americans.
The theft of Florida in 2000 was visible to all, but how can you override the Supreme Court? The theft of Ohio in 2004 was less visible and most people are still totally ignorant of it. (See link below, or Google theft of presidential election ohio 2004.)
I’ve always wondered why Karl Rove went bugshit insane on TV in 2014 when Obama won Ohio. It seems to me that Rove was certain the fix was in and that the networks couldn’t possibly call the election for Obama. I doubt the Republicans will let that happen again.
I know that many here on DU will disagree with me about this, so please show me the flaw in my reasoning.

1. Yes, exactly.
I agree, and it will take Dems with NO NONSENSE approach to counter it, both before and after. Unfortunately such did not exist in '04. And as Dems have ignored 50 state approach, things will worsen, as more states hopelessly regress.

3. I see the theft of elections as a given since 2000. n/t

If republicans are positioned to steal the election....why not run a true conservative....damn the listed RINOs.
-
I'm struggling to find a reference, but the phrase "accuse your enemies of what you are doing" comes to mind.

so you are admitting that obama stole the election in 2008 and 2012?

No, according to the moonbats, they weren't close enough to steal so we let Obama win. :mental:

And the dummies claim they are a reality based community. Might be for all I know. The question then becomes what reality they are based in cause it damn sure ain't the one normal folks inhabit.

Gee, Ellen G, the DUmmie squeegee, seems to be shillin' for a Warren-Dean in Twenty sixteen team in the next National Election.
I can't think of a finer leadership to guarantee a mandate sized election (+10%) than the Okie Fauxahontas and the screamer to get 'er done.
We can only hope.

... so please show me the flaw in my reasoning.
There are a variety of names for it, but it boils down to assuming the proposition as proof of the proposition.

Rising GOP popularity, plummeting Dem popularity can only mean one thing
My first guess was "WE NEED TO GO HARDER TO THE LEFT!!"
This:
THE GOP IS GOING TO STEAL THE 2016 ELECTION!
... was next.
But never doubted it was one of those.

The official fallacy name is "begging the question." Which is why it irritates the heck out of me when some says "that begs the question" when they mean "that RAISES the question." Rather than making the speaker seem intelligent, it makes them seem ignorant.

Projection.

If the GOP is so good at stealing elections, what the heck happened in 2012 (assuming 2008 was beyond the margin of theft)?
Why are they super criminals with unbeatable cheating ways but not always?
-
Projection.
I was looking for a quote from someone who invented/made the phrase popular.
-
Sanders/Warren? BWAAAAAAH!!!!! Please please please run that ticket. You libs will be so embarrassed by the outcome.

I was looking for a quote from someone who invented/made the phrase popular.
You did.
It was I.

As this is my very first post on this forum, let me really step into.
You should all know by now that the GOP has a fantastic record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
They continually select and run candidates who couldn't get elected dog catcher and then whine and cry that the Democrats stole the election - which they probably did.
My point - don't get too sure of yourselves. 2016 is a while off and the GOP Establishment has yet to have their turn in 2015 in Congress. :whistling:
