9. Had to look at my post again...no, I don't think I said that
IN fact, I didn't even come close to saying that.
However, if people feel threatened, they will fight back.
Without knowing anything about the particular cops shot, I won't speculate if they were good or bad. However, it appears somebody else might know more about that.

The war between the people, and the police starts here.

I'd be willing to be that more than a few of the DUmmies are silently cheering what happened and NONE of them connect the racial pot stirring by Sharpton et al and what happened.
Well....well...well....no mention as to the race of the perpetrator so I guess that narrows it down to either a black or a DUmmie....What, you didn't know DUmmie was a race now?

21. Goddammit.
Whenever the people have moral authority and are making good on it, always someone has to **** it up.

40. Your headline is deliberate misinformation
There is no such link. It is the police hacks making up that connection.
The man killed his girlfriend in Baltimore, headed to New York, killed two cops and then killed himself.

66. He *didn't* kill those cops out of revenge.
He killed his girlfriend out of revenge and planned to commit suicide.
Many suicides are "grandstanders". They don't want to be forgotten, they don't want to appear weak. So they make a big show.
Some stand on ledges to attract a crowd. Some take their entire family with them. It looks like this jerk decided to get his headlines by pretending it was all for Garner and Brown.
It was always and only about him.
This is very bad. Bad cops, killer-cops, will use this to justify more civil-rights violations, more profiling, more faux-"self-defense" murders.
This stupid, selfish, self-absorbed loser is going to cause more minority deaths.
I am really angry. Asshole should have just offed himself and left everyone else out of it.
Goddamit!

80. You know how after any terrorist act we all say don't make blanket statements because nutters will..
...attack and be violent against innocent Muslims (and often Sikhs)? How we condem that rhetoric and irresponsible and fomenting violence?
When you go around saying almost the exact same shit about cops -all cops are racist pigs, there are no good cops because they tolerate and shelter the bad ones, cops just want to kill black people- it's the exact same kind of crap the teabag nutters say about Muslims that we condemn and say is irresponsible.
Well, guess what. That same shit we always warn will happen and see happen when teabaggers start fomenting hate toward Muslims, a few nutbags taking it too seriously and being violent, is gonna happen when you use the same blanket hate filled rhetoric against any other group too- including cops.
It's just as irresponsible when done against cops as a whole community as it is down against Muslims or any other group as a whole.
And when people engage in that and it drives a few unhinged individuals to be violent as a result, they bear some of ten blame for their irresponsible rhetoric.
It's good and proper to speak against bad cops, just as it against terrorism and violence done in the name of Islam. It's just as irresponsible to label all Muslims violent as it is to label all cops racist, violent, etc. But I've seen it hundreds of times over- on this board alone. It's irresponsible to say all Muslims are bad because they shelter terrorists or all don't speak up against it as loud as you demand, same goes for cops.
I'm sure this post gets reported, and probably hidden, because way too many people here are gonna be very uncomfortable with being told how irresponsible they words have been. So be it, it will just show I'm right....

32. Granted, the suspect was already a murderer.
This is just the beginning though. Police brutality and state sponsored torture is the catalyst. I predicted long ago, in many posts, that people would simply stop surrendering. Fanatical resistance to authority.
Why would anyone surrender to an authority figure if they knew or thought they would be killed or tortured? Society is fractured. Its time to disarm the police and the criminals. Gun rights don't seem so sacred anymore, seeing that countries in Europe and Canada have just a tiny fraction of the crime we have here.

65. Any evidence that
the cops were attempting to make the killer "surrender." Nope. Nada. This was nothing more than a cold blooded muder.
The cops were sitting in their car. They had no warning, had done nothing to provoke the killer, and never had a chance.
Don't attempt to justify this double homicide by talking about cops killing and torturing. Doesn't apply in this case.
nilesobek (719 posts)
70. Yeah ok, no problem. I wasn't talking about this particular case.
Justifying double homicide? Where do you get that from? All I'm saying is that with police misconduct and brutality, don't expect people to play nice anymore.
Nor did I say that they were trying to get him to surrender. Typical knee jerk overreaction.
YarnAddict (1,538 posts)
74. Well,
your comment would probably have been more appropriate as a reply to an OP regarding out-of-control cops.
That's not what this thread is about. It is about the cold-blooded murder of two police officers.
nilesobek (719 posts)
79. I can see your objection and agree with it.
I got deep sixxed by the thread title, and even though I read the OP, he obviously did not want to surrender. For the first time I'm gonna self delete that out of respect for the victim's families.

Do we actually know who killed those cops
It's very neat and convenient - they appear to have been shot by a marksman - two minority cops shot in the head at the same time reforms are demanded and the killer came all the way from Baltimore and just happened to write a farewell note that includes a threat to cops.
This really looks too neat.
I want more info - yes it's horrible for their families and I grieve for them regardless of who committed this awful act.
I'm skeptical about everything these days.

36. You are making a fool of yourself here.
Just stop it.
Who do you think killed them? Great conspiracy person that you are? Tell us.
I still remember you and nadin saying that the government had ships of dead folks offshore during a hurricane that did not produce the number of casualties that you would have liked.
Remember that? I do. More utter conspiracy nonsense.
Goodness gracious. Stop it. Or tell us who killed the cops, since you do not believe the official story.
Trashing this thread now.
How sad to be someone who can ignore such a horrid act - instead, using it to make into a story of your own.
