$359.00 - Three Hundred and Fifty Nine Dollars! - .......... for a pair of JEANS!
Advertisements [?]*Who* in their right mind would pay $359 for a pair of blue jeans???

I couldn't believe it when I saw the tags today. I was shocked last week to see some at $159 and $250. I remember back in the early 80's when we referred to Jordace and Sergio Vallente' jeans as "those $80 California britches"....

The $359 jeans were made by 'True Religion'. Here's some that cost $240/pair.... http://www.truereligionbrandjeans.com/store/productslis...

The $159 & $250 jeans were made by '7 For All Mankind', like some of these here: http://www.7forallmankind.com/Flare_with_Flying_A_in_Ha...

In todays economy, why in the world would anyone pay that kind of money for pants?

THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE DOLLARS..... FOR *PANTS*!!!
"How dare people be able to afford nice things in Herr Chimpler's Armegedon Economy!! Sweet Lucifer! That's my DOPE budget for the month!!!!!" [/DUmode]

21. Homeless and hungry people on our streets in just about every town in America...
I'm not outraged by jeans *or* desserts.... just shocked....

I'm learning how to channel my outrage into action,.... at least for the hungry for now....I've been working with a friend to set up a food bank..
Yeah we have LEGIONS of the starving homeless stalking the landscape like Dustbowl Refugees.  :whatever:

74. Half of the World's population living on less than $2/day. Plenty of things too be outraged about,
 indeed.
So by all means STOP buying the jeans that provide these "Poor" people with their incomes. That'll help!

29. Is Faded Glory a brand name?
 LOL!

I venture into wal-mart (Rutrow Shaggy!)about every 8 or 9 months and pick me up 4 or 5 pairs of the Faded Glory jeans, $11.99/pr, and a few shirts... the rest of my 'wardrobe' consists of shorts, tank tops & flip-flops...

Needless to say, I'm not a clotheshorse nor will I ever grace the pages of GQ Magazine..
No Shit...

About the only thing that Ghost in the Machine has any chance of "gracing the cover of" would be an FBI wanted poster.  Even then, said DUmmy is probably too inconsequential to be considered.

Well, if we lived in the perfect communist society that the DUmmies wanted, those jeans would cost $7.95 max.. Never mind that monthly wages would be $3 a month and if you ever saved up enough money to buy a pair, you'd have to wait in line for 60 days to find out they were out of the communist made, one legged, fly in the back, $7.95 jeans.

Criminal? They WORK for that money, you moron. If you want to bitch, go talk to those moonbat Hollywood morons. THEY'RE the ones that buy this shit. My wife and I make a damn good living. I shop at Stein-Mart, Sam's Club, Marshall's, and anywhere else I can get a deal. Clothes are clothes. I'm not investing in them, so I'm not paying an arm and a leg for them. My Polos, Nauticas, and Izods are at least 50% off the price they charge at department stores.

It's real easy, DUmmies. People can spend their money that they have earned off of their own toil, however they damn well please! That said, I wouldn't buy a pair of jeans for that amount of money...nothing feels or looks that good to justify it, but again, the choice is mine, as it is for the person who chooses to purchase them. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I look at everything in beer terms. $360 pair of jeans? That's 19 friggin' 30-Packs of Miller Lite. No way in hell would I spend that much on some damn jeans.  :-)

Agreed, I personally cannot imagine spending that much on a pair of freaking jeans.  So, I don't.  Obviously there are people that do, hence why they can sell them for that price.  :)
