Title: primitives stumble into potential truth

Is it possible that the movie cancellation wasn't about a terrorist threat but some sort of blackmail instead? Could the hacked information include some sort of dirt on Sony executives that is so potentially damaging they are willing to scuttle their own film?

I just have a hard time believing they are taking a threat (which the F.B.I. said was not credible) so seriously they are willing to forego the millions this movie would bring in.

Broken clock, twice a day. You know how it goes. Whatever the case, the primitives read it somewhere. No way they'd come up with this on their own.

But back to the topic, have to admit this came to mind to me immediately when I saw what Sony did. Given the last revelations, there's no telling what's on various emails and memos from the Hollywood types via Sony. Politics, Hollywood, money, child prostitution, drugs, gossip, etc... The Hollywood limousine libs like their erotic vices. And the Dems don't care what they do, they just want to keep milking their cash cow. Hey, there's likely several pols who participate while rubbing elbows with movie stars and the execs. They're star struck.

Would anyone here really be surprised to find out that was the case?

The Norks don't care other than not wanting their "Dear Leader" poked fun at. Just another way the commies and liberals share a common bond.

Maybe Sony is doing this on purpose to gin up attention for a lousy movie?

I thought that might be the case too until the threats against theaters scheduled to show the film.

IMHO it was going to be a big disappointment anyway, despite all the promos...a completely unmemorable film that would only succeed at all because of people with some time and cash on their hands over the holidays, looking for something to do together, and relatively unlikely to bore either side of a date completely to death.

And then you got the release of all these emails. No way they'd want that out.

Someone's got Sony by the shorthairs and they're doing what say for some unknown reason. I can't prove a single thing I said, but that liberal Hollywood is arrogant enough to talk about things via email tells me they probably talked about all sorts of embarrassing things, some of it illegal in nature.

Explains how Shia LaBeouf keeps getting work.

When the ads first came out for the movie, my initial thought was, didn't they  make this in the mid 80's under another name?  It sounded a lot like "Spies Like Us" with Chevy Chase & Dan Ackroyd.

 I said the same thing the second or third time I saw an ad for it.

I honestly originally knew nothing about the plot, and had no idea it was going to be a Christmas release date.  They were advertising it well over a month ago.  It must have run a lot during weekend sports events.  Until the cold of winter hits, I generally don't watch much "episodic" TV.

Your post is making the quote of the day.
I would naturally agree with you and add...Dennis Rodman is being used as a secret publicity broker between Kim Jung Un and Sony.
