We tortured others in the name of God. So where’s your God now?
Congress is afraid of the backlash. Members of the former administration are afraid of violence and death. The intelligence community is afraid – and the CIA is terrified. Foreign leaders are afraid.
And they should be.
Very likely there will be blood and violence. Very likely it will be the blood of innocent civilians and violence against US forces that had nothing to do with torture.
That’s the price we’re going to pay for this dirty shameful dishonor.
That’s the price we’re all going to pay for cowardly faceless men who traded their duty, and their honor, and their humanity for expediency and revenge and political advantage.
That’s the price we’re going to pay for religion. We tortured others in the name of God. So where’s your God now? If we are so righteous, where’s his protection and why are you so *******ed afraid?
If you’re afraid of what will happen when people find out that you’ve been torturing people, then maybe YOU SHOULDN’T GO AROUND TORTURING PEOPLE.

This is the Senate Dems trying to put out a substantially false report in the closing days of their Senate control, claiming it was all to no good effect anyway (Universally disputed by all credible nonpartisan intelligence community people), in order to blacken the GOP brand as much as possible while they can. They are too partisan to see it will damage the US brand, including the Democrats, every bit as much as it will damage the GOP.

One particular sentence in kpete's little rant just screamed out at me like a spotted owl in an old growth forest who-ing at a chainsaw. The sentence caught my eye because I can change just two words (located in two places) and make the DUmmies run from it like its a job.

That's right Kpete. The shameful dishonor is on your party for this partisan hack job. Releasing this report, something that's been disclosed and talked about hundreds of times, was for political reasons only. There was no reason to put so many more people at risk and will be used to recruit more terrorists. Any violence or spilled blood will be on your hands, not that you give a s**t.

The libs all supported these enhanced interrogations when they were needed.
Some libs didn't support it outright, but didn't oppose it.
Not one stood on (lib)principle and intentionally so.
They reserved the right to oppose it at a later date when there was political leverage.
Now the libs are releasing a report that purports to claim a moral high ground.
That lib moral high ground was deserted when the rubber was meeting the road.
It's all typical lib kabuki theater to further the lib agenda.
