Omaha Steve on Stephanie Miller show NOW
What an attention whore. I'm sure he is talking about his retirement.

Beg pardon, but is this one of those local-access shows on cable television?

I have no clue.
I've never heard of this "Stephanie Miller," so I might not know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, cable television companies are required, apparently, to devote one channel to "community access," locally-produced "shows" by old hippies and somesuch.
They're usually the least-watched channels on cable.
Many years ago, at times I'm sure I was the only audience for Ron Kurtenbach in Lincoln, as he spent two or three hours spewing and spitting his hippie stuff. I never heard a word he said (and apparently he had a low voice anyway), but his body language was interesting. And I'm sure he was stoned some of the time.

Primitive interest must be slowing down.
Nobody is out of bed yet to listen.
-
That's highly unusual; California Peggy and Skippy must be preoccupied elsewhere at the moment.
Those two primitives always park themselves on the "latest threads" page of Skins's island, so they can be the first to comment upon new threads.

Selfish primitives, not paying any attention to the big guy:

I'm sure he will give a play by play after its over.

No wonder the big guy sticks with his "oh woe is me" compositions; in other sorts of threads, he draws a big collective yawn from his fellow primitives.
-
This is not what one would call an enthusiastic audience response.

Well, the big guy's learning one of the harsh facts of life.

Now that he's retired and not doing anything, nobody cares.

An enthusiastic response in comparison

You know, I'm always interested in the audience franksolich draws.
If one of my threads garners at least one comment during the first ten "views," I know I've got a thread that's going to be on fire.
The "norm," at least for me, is usually about 25-35 "views" before the first comment, which is pretty good; it was well worth the time and trouble putting it up.
More than 200 "views," and no comments at all, I know I've bombed.
-
Aha.
A primitive response.
I wonder who it is.

1. OOPS
Well I sat on hold for over 1/2 hour and they ran out of time before they got to me.
-
You know, I wonder if anybody's ever heard the big guy's voice.
<<<all that knows about primitives' voices is what hearing people tell me.
<<<knows the cousin speaks with an accent, and that Skippy has a lisp.

Omaha Steve on Stephanie Miller show NOW
Being on hold isn't the same as actually making it on air to talk to the host.
What a silly person.

Hey everyone, I'm going to be on Rush Limbaugh's show, Sean Hannity's and Dennis Miller's too. That is if they pick my call from the thousands of others.

I really dislike sounding gross, but I wonder if the big guy suffers from premature ejaculation too.
He's always set to make a big announcement, and then it peters out.
He's got to learn to wait and post things as a fait accompli, a finished deed, instead of so bombastically announcing something that might not happen.
He's got so many eggs on his face because of this.

Which means your comment was either useless or just plain idiotic but they don`t just hang up,they leave you on hold and then say "sorry".

So is this going to be Steve's retirement? Camped out in front of the computer making announcements about which radio show he may or may not be on?

I'm guessing that's what his plans and hopes are.

Maybe he will suffer the same fate as Kephra. :-)

Maybe he will suffer the same fate as Kephra. :-)
Now that's a goal to aspire to. Maybe then Skinner will rename the union goon section of DU after him.
-
You know, there's another thing that shows the superficiality of the primitives.
Way back when it was "0 replies, 74 views," it also showed 2 "recs."
I think Skins should set things up so that a primitive can't recommend a thread until after the primitive's commented upon it.
I suspect what goes on is that a primitive sees the author of a thread, and if the primitive likes the original poster, the primitive "recs" it without reading it.

3. It won't be tomorrow
I have a doctors appointment that includes an hours drive time (to and from) during her show. I'm sure it won't be a quick visit either.
Omaha is a major center of everything in the upper midwest.
Wonder why the weeper is travelling all the way to Lincoln.
His crooked union disability doc is in Omaha.
If he's dying, why go all the way to Lincoln? People die every day in Omaha.
Just seems like unnecessary travel for his wife, who could be roaming through a cemetery somewhere.

Setting up for Scamdy Jr.?

I'll tell you who she is. In 1964 when Barry Goldwater ran for president, his VP running mate was Congressman William E. Miller of NY. This skank is his daughter. She's a real moonbat.

Bingo. That is her.

I actually feel sorry for him.

She's a low rent version of Randi Rhodes with half the smarts of Rachel Maddow.

For some reason AFN carries this half wit on the radio.

Yuck.

He really seems to think his Omaha Steve DU username makes him special, he's a legend in his own mind.
