Wingnut congresscritter defends committee chairs all being white males...
By saying absolutely nothing, of course, with lots of words.
(Politico) House Majority Whip Steve Scalise on Wednesday defended the GOP’s lack of women lawmakers as committee chairs in the new Congress. SCALISE: “Obviously, we have a number of other women that are very talented as part of our conference leadership. But if you look at this new class, especially, such a great, new, diverse group of members, with great backgrounds, too. And they’re going to come and, I think, and give us a really strong boost in the new Congress."

We just elected Mia Love, Joni Ernst, Tim Scott, and a whole slew of women and minority candidates in 2014. Not to mention, we already had governors like Bobby Jindal and Susan Martinez. However, Dummies are already back to shouting about the GOP being the party of the rich, white guy.

1. Need to put the brakes on this white-male stigmatization
If you hadn't noticed, the party got absolutely wrecked in the white male demographic, with the trend strongly against us. Pointing out that the chairs are white males sends a message that the Democratic Party specifically doesn't like white males. Makes it a really tough sell trying to overcome these election results.
Nobody had a problem with white male Harry Reid running the Senate. Try this instead: the real problem is that they're all Republicans. And that is not going to change by giving the impression that there is something unfixably wrong with being a white male.
A Dummy with common sense? He won't last long.

4. Or ...
Pointing out that the chairs are white males sends a message that the Democratic Party specifically doesn't like white males.
The message COULD be interpreted, not as any anti-white male message; but rather, as the republican's out reach to non-white/non-males is failing miserably.
Nobody had a problem with white male Harry Reid running the Senate.
Might that be because, 1) He has some non-white/non-males on his leadership team; but more, 2) because he (and his Party) doesn't have a reputation of being hostile to non-white/non-males.
I don't take advice on racism from someone whose screen name indicates his race.

5. Speaking as a middle-aged straight white male
who happens to be a Democratic Socialist, I think the real problem is with the cave troll mindset of so many others in the demographic. You sure you're on the right board, Tex?
You're a straight, white male and a Socialist? You must not have a job. Or you are Karl Marx's ghost.

10. If race- and gender-based attacks are considered acceptable
then maybe not.
The high road is arguments on policy.
The gutter on the low road is arguing about what color and gender people are.
I take only high roads. If you prefer the low one, have a nice trip, send a postcard.

14. The calling-out implies it's a problem to be white and male
After all, if it's not a problem, why call it out?
I can't believe I'm the only one who can see the horrible. offensive, gutter politics involved in these tactics. If it were any other race or gender being called out like this, it would cause an uproar.
But regardless if one sees it or not, the consequences are so very real:
http://politicalwire.com/2014/11/06/white-men-were-the-decisive-vote/
This is a 37% share of the electorate we're talking about. Offending even a small percentage of them with these types of tactics is electoral suicide. And what votes are won by these tactics? None that weren't already on board. It's a political loser, and it does serious damage to the Democratic Party.
Yup. He's not going to last long.

Dumbocrats have no use for white males, they assume enough useful idiots (proven by the DUmp,which is overwhelmingly white male) will vote for them out of the want for "gimme".
They need to victimize via identity, racial and gender politics the rest of the population and keep them herded into voting blocs.

This is another example of how the primitives' perceptions are petrified, fossilized, back in the 1960s, the heyday of hippiedom.
This might have been the case back then, but the Republican party's changed considerably since.
It's like the primitives' perceptions are still frozen on the idea that defense spending is the biggest part of the federal budget.
This was true back during the heyday of hippiedom.....but Richard Nixon changed that by.....1970. Defense spending hasn't added up to petty cash for decades now.
The primitives need to yank their heads out of the 1960s, and see things as they are today.

Exactly. Dummies are still whining about the cost of "Bush's wars." However, I've never seen them complain about the 22 trillion we've wasted on the war on poverty.

Might that be because, 1) He has some non-white/non-males on his leadership team;
No he doesn't. He created a special positiion for the fake Native American Communist, to work as an assistant (read: Secretary) the Reid's deputy WHITE MALE (Schumer), added one WHITE female (Klobuchar) to act as his errand girl and put John Tester into the position that is being vacated beause Begich lost his race in Alaska.
On top of those changes you've still got Leahey, Durbin, Manchin, Stabenow and Murray.
Don't see ANY none white males on his leadership team.
****ing liar.
but more, 2) because he (and his Party) doesn't have a reputation of being hostile to non-white/non-males.
Again you're a history revising ****ing liar.
Who the HELL do you think was doing this to blacks back in the day?

I'll give you a hint douchebag...it was NOT the Republicans in the South that were doing it.
It was the DEMOCRAT PARTY that supported this sh*t!!! The party of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, and every Democrat Party member YOU pulled the lever for!!!
That picture is the legacy of the party YOU support.

George Wallace won the 1972 Michigan & Florida Democrat POTUS Primaries (Along with others) and was well on his way to beating Nixon in Election when he was shot.

Talk about strange bed fellows....I copied this from a Wikipedia piece on George Wallace.
Following the assassination attempt, Wallace was visited at the hospital by Democratic Congresswoman and presidential primary rival Shirley Chisholm,[52] a representative from Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. At the time, she was the nation's only African-American female member of Congress. Despite their ideological differences and the opposition of Chisholm's constituents, Chisholm felt visiting Wallace was the humane thing to do.

The Dims are rapidly becoming the party of dowdy old women in sensible shoes. Click the pic below to see the recently elected Dimocratic Rep's (NH 2) bio. She is a piece of work. The other pic is the pro life Republican she beat (click it for her bio).

This is one fine candidate who lost to the old girl establishment of post menopausal women here in the Granite State. If she had a D behind her name she would have been in Congress this January. NH has been a merry matriarchy for the last few years but broke the cycle this time.

Dummies got their knickers all in a twist when one of the State Republicans called Ann K ugly (and he should know ugly, his face could stop a clock but that is whole 'nother story).
BTW If Republicans were the racist in the piece they would be supporting Planned Black Genocide (AKA Planned Parenthood) tooth and nail. Those folk have killed more blacks than the Klan could have ever dreamed of. Location, location, location, as the relator says is key to Planned Parenthood's Sanger success story. Libs who support PPH are complicit racists, blacks libs like chickens who would support Colonel Sanders.

That's because the late congresswoman understood something most Democrats and liberals don't--George Wallace's views on race were hardly admirable, but when compared with the views of northeastern Democrats and liberals, he was a paragon of acceptance and tolerance.
There's hardly anybody more racist than northeastern Democrats and liberals.

You are gong to make Wee Willie and Raven sad by saying that. :whistling:
Any bet the Wee One went to a private <dog whistle> (segregated) school? I still remember the great "White Flight" of the '70's when Boston de segregated and implemented forced bussing to achieve racial equality. We have been reeling ever since from the influx of Massholes (rich white liberals bigots). They destroyed small towns like locust through a ripe corn field, driving real estate prices out of sight, then ripping down and building Mc Mansions and demanding city sized services. Racists pure and simple, Northern Dimocratics that they are, Racists, but, they will give you the shirt off their neighbor's back in a heartbeat to show you their compassion.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/05/education/new-boston-busing-debate-4-decades-after-fervid-clashes.html?pagewanted=all
BOSTON — Nearly four decades after this city was convulsed by violence over court-ordered busing to desegregate its public schools, Boston is working to reduce its reliance on busing in a school system that is now made up largely of minority students.
Although court-ordered busing ended more than two decades ago, and only 13 percent of students in the public schools today are white, the school district buses 64 percent of its students in kindergarten through eighth grade to schools outside their immediate neighborhoods. The city tried twice in the last decade to change the system and failed both times.
{snip}
And New York is no prize hog on this either, there the fight for private schools begins at birth.

Oh now, you know that the Bostonian Drunkard, when a wee 5-8 years old, at the time of the Boston busing crisis, wasn't sent to any of those schools where inner-city blacks and working-class Irish were forcibly mixed.
"Integration"'s for Democrats, liberals, and primitives to preach, and for "everybody else" to practice.
<<<supports integration to an extent, but it needs to start at the top down, so it doesn't get stalled mired down among the bottom.

Out in the heart of the Sandhills of Nebraska, ours was a gradual integration, everyone easily absorbed with no problems at all.
I grew up at the tail-end of the heyday of the one- and two-room country schools, of which the county had scores at the time. Up through the fourth grade, I went to school with only other town kids.
The one- and two-room country schools, dependent upon the "staff," ended with the fourth grade, the sixth grade, the eighth grade, or the tenth grade, after which those kids were bused to school in town.
When I started out, there were maybe forty of us kids in the town school, in two classes for each grade. By the time I graduated from high school, there were over a hundred (and oddly, 69 boys and 32 girls--an imbalance that didn't hold for classes before or after us), all the rest having come in over the years from the country schools.
Trust me, there was just as much a cultural, socio-economic, gap between town kids and country kids, as there was between inner-city blacks and working-class Irish of Boston.
But because the transition took place slowly, and wasn't involuntary, by the time we were juniors, seniors, in high school, everybody was best buds with everybody else.

My sister, GRHS, went to a two room school (1-8) for two years, but I, two years her junior, got to go to the newly built Eisenhower School. There were probably a couple dozen in my class but I have no idea how many boys to girls. We moved to a larger town after a couple years with a much larger (90 kids per grade level at least) school system. The first two years was the only time I ever went to a school that offered a hot lunch.
The only thing whiter than my class was the ground after an early snow. There were them what had and them what had naught. Not every have had what it took to matriculate when they moved on to higher education (much to the consternation of the paternal units). Not all of the have naught were fence post dumb, many getting scholarships to greater and lesser colleges. Classes were <gasp> divided by ability after grade 6; A, (today it would be considered advanced placement students) B, C, and, D course levels. You could move from higher to lower and vice versa based on merit but it was very infrequent. (I would hazard a guess that initial selections were based on IQ testing).
In that era by grade 8 you could opt to finish your academic career; some chose to go into vocational or homemaking type career paths but most continued on to public high school. High school also offered limited shop and homemaking courses but nothing like a true vocational high school, its only advantage? It was free.
We didn't have many new folk coming in to the system back then but in the '70's that changed. (Not all change is progress as that would be an outstanding example of). All the kids I graduated with could at least make change!! :hammer:

With a little more affirmative action the libs could get rid of all white males forever.
