Well, Today's the First Day for 2015 Affordable Care Act Open Enrollment...
I just found out that if I want to keep my same plan from 2014, my monthly premium is going to more than double in price, from $27/mo. clear up to $67/mo.
It's still a pretty good deal for a $0 deductible, $1000 max out-of-pocket PPO plan with a huge provider network with low co-pays, but I must confess the price hike is really discouraging.
The whole point of Obamacare was to supposedly reign in these huge double-digit percent yearly rate hikes that caused such a groundswell of support for healthcare reform in the first place. But it's becoming quite apparent that the insurance companies are laughing their way to the bank, as they now have CAPTIVE customers, who have to either buy their increasingly costly plans or pay an increasing yearly fine come tax time, thanks to the individual mandate.
I'm beginning to think we really do need to repeal and replace it. We need single-payer (Medicare for all) and kick these greedy insurance companies to the curb.

2. Careful what you wish for.
My premiums are $950 a month and deductibles are triple yours. I agree on single payer. It can't come too soon!
How in the hell do you triple $0.00??
It's simply not FREE enough for these assholes.
We'll see where it goes.

There was no groundswell for Obamacare. In fact, the groundswell at the townhalls was against Obamacare.
-
And so it begins. It was designed for people like them to scream "Repeal and replace.....with single payer!!!!!"

From the few that have posted, it looks like all of them have gone up, some quite a bit, like this one;

7. Just finished enrolling and had to choose a different
plan. The current plan went from $52/month to $300/month! Income level is the same as last year. Found a plan at $106/month with a different company.

Wait until the subsidies all but disappear and the Republicans can't be blamed for it. :rotf:

Now this is effective moling, folks. The "dummie" lords it over the others about how cheap and good the policy is. Sure to stir up some trouble. Then the "dummie" goes on a rant about it doubling. Further reels the dummies in with its rant about evil corporations making money.
As always I can neither confirm nor deny... ya all know the rest.

Dummies will still blame Republicans.

Dummies will still blame Republicans.
I know. But there will be ZERO credibility behind their pointing finger.......and they know that too.
There are those who say little DUmmie goons and their ilk believe their own lies, but I have never bought into that. They know the truth. And it BURNS.

Let me finish that for you
0 * 3 = potato :p

Checking the figures one more time and I see that I made another math error. It should have been -0*3 = potato. -0 due to it being subsidized and thereby free and stuff.

I don't think LAGC is a mole, just a real honest-to-God idiot. "Leftist Against Gun Control" goes 'way back on a couple of sites I've been on, he's pretty much nuts (Or the most consistent, multi-site mole ever)...some Libertarian ideas, particularly on guns, but otherwise a total 'State is my mommy and daddy' sort of guy.

Cognitive dissonance, defined.

Sure sounds like a mole to me.
DUmmies are searching furiously for that zero deductible, huge network, $67 shovel-ready plan.

If they think owebumacare is getting expensive, wait till they see how expensive single payer would be.

Not to THEM! Only to those of us who actually pay taxes.

My employer-based insurance increased by about 5k for 2015 because of these asshats, past the point of me being able to cover it and all the other things I'm paying (another story). I had to take a crappier plan (deductibles cubed) and bought an emergency monthly plan, similar to AFLAC, to cover things like my son setting himself on fire (which actually happened in 2014, fer cryin' out loud! :panic:)

Nope, he's 18, and his brain cells seem to misfire frequently (yes, Jack, I love you!) :-)

I think I see the problem . . . :whistling:
