In the doctor's office today...
I was waiting for them to call me, and they had Fox News on the TV. A lady a few seats down from me said something about the guy who sneaked into the White House a few weeks ago, and then said: "He didn't shoot the President. I wish he had. As far as I'm concerned, he and everybody who voted for him should be shot." And then she let forth a string of obscenities, which you can probably guess.

That's half a bong, if anything. No retort, no snappy rejoinder, no humiliation, nothing. And I will say it again: I have NEVER seen a TV in a doctor's office, EVER.
Lots of harumphing and such, call the FBI, blah blah. Just had to do my duty and drag it over.

That thread is hilarious, what a bunch of nutcases.

6. i think you should report it to the fbi let them go to the dr.s office, and track that person down, and ask her a few questions
Yeah... the FBI doesn't have better things to do.

9. I bet she's pro-life...But she's advocating violence against other humans who live outside the womb. Typical right winger hypocrite. Her Jesus would be ashamed.

17. Whenever I go to a doctor who has Fux News on
in the waiting room, I let it be known that I object. If they do not change the channel for me, I tell them that I will be spending my time and money with another doctor.
There is a cardiologist in Rockford IL, acknowledged to be excellent, who does not have my business. Other Democrats will hear about him. Will it hurt his business? Who cares?
Yes, I am sure you do.

18. Hasn't happened at my doctor's office, but
when I have been in public waiting rooms and they have the cable remote sitting there, whether Fox is on or not when no one is looking I go to settings and parental controls on the remote and put a password on the Fox channel.
OMG!!! Is this the sockpuppet for the Walrus!?!?

Yeah. That's exactly what high-traffic public venues with TVs do: leave the remote out so any random jackass can **** with their $1500 TV.

I see them all the time - *HOWEVER* they are playing a CNN produced looping DVD of current health news, with trivia questions between segments. There are no 'live' television broadcasts.

Doctors, especially specialists, have waiting lists for patients.
This DUmmy who left the doctor because of the TV in the waiting room did nothing but allow everyone on the waiting list an earlier appointment.
Thanks, DUmmy!

I have a question since I'm just not getting a clear answer on the web and probably being flagged like hell for even googling it :lmao:
I know it's illegal to say "I want to kill the president". I do know that. But is it illegal to say other things like "I wouldn't shed a tear" or "I wish someone...."
I ask because I remember a whole lot of that coming from the dems when Bush was president. What are the rules? (http://conservativecave.com/Smileys/default/shrug.gif)

I guess the DUmmie would rather go to another Dr. who is 'acknowledged to be shitty' as long as they don't have Fox News on.
Let them go to the 'other' Dr.

So let get this straight. You are more concerned about politics and/or some babble on the tv than making sure your heart is healthly. If that's the case then Skin's Island is where you belong. A true DUmmie. :mental:

Illegal only in DUmmydom.
Hey all.

I've come across you a lot, recently.

No more than a dozen. For the most part, staying away from there. Only peeked during the election to see them moaning and groaning.
I can only take so much of their constant belittlement of all things good and decent. I honestly felt my soul in danger by the exposure to their heathen attitudes. Is answering to Gina's question, I wish that they would all just die. I know that that attitude isn't going to win me any brownie points.

Well, I've seen you in the sports forum, but they might've been old posts.

My dentist's office has a TV but when there last fall I paid little attention to it. Anyhow, I concur with your half-bong. This is a weak bouncy, and a poorly written one even by Dummy standards.

My dentist's office has a TV that is usually on the travel channel or something like that. However, they also have small TV's on each chair where they do their work and let the patient have the remote while waiting. Those TV's serve a dual purpose, they allow you to view your dental X-Rays during the dentist's explanation.

Very well, I do not doubt that there are televisions in doctor's offices. I just haven't seen one myself, and I suppose I'm better off for it. I HAVE seen televisions in car showrooms, oil change places, barbershops, and assorted other waiting areas, but they are almost always set to sports channels. I cannot imagine anyone waiting for service anywhere that would use the time to get caught up on politics, anyway.

That call to the FBI would be a hoot.

What's funny around here, and I'm sure it has some liberal heads exploding, there are a lot of these gas pumps with a little tv screen built into them. Mostly they show commercials but as they progress ... I am getting Fox News bits! LOL
I've been to 3 different stations that have these things now and every single one of them is showing snippets of Fox News. The only way to turn it off is to put the nozzle back into the pump!
