In an otherwise unimportant thread about God knows what...

There's no point in arguing any more. I am severely clinically depressed, my fault and weakness entirely. My Doctor just gave me some really good advice though. She just said maybe many of my concerns are valid like global warming and bigotry, though she said she still sees a chance to improve those things, even if we can't fix them entirely.
She said regardless I have to start caring only about myself for awhile even if I think that's selfish. She said she knows how deeply I care about those who are bullied and who suffer, but that until I can shore up my own defenses I can't be of help, and that I need to take a mental vacation from thinking about all of it and choose to enjoy what I can here and now.
I am going to try and take her advice.

Holy CRAP. Liberalynn gets therapy for clinical depression caused by GLOBAL WARMING. If she dies, it is likely that she will be the first person in the history of the world to die from global warming.

These DOTY candidates are crowding together in the home stretch.

Can you imagine the stories a DUmmy's therapist tells when they get home? GLOBAL WARMING. They whine to a therapist about GLOBAL FLIPPING WARMING.

Seriously? Who's her therapist, Dr. Strangelove?

This is actually a "thing" with the lunkheads. There was an article about a bullshit climate something scientist ::) that was getting suicidal over it. I say, carry on and reduce your carbon footprint and body temperature to zero. There was another about a mid teens kid wandering around a town in Australia completely distressed over it and, yep, suicidal.
The indoctrination factories are pumping them out.

To many leftists gloBULL warming as the vehicle to world wide wealth redistribution has risen beyond even a cult status.

Since it's a DUmmie, I'd go with Dr. Strangeglove! :lmao:
More and more, DUmmies prove every day, "Liberalism IS a mental disease!"

... and that I need to take a mental vacation from thinking about all of it
One of the prime features that defines liberalism is taking a mental vacation from thinking about all of it. I don't see why she needs therapy for that.

Hey, I salute this therapist. He or she recognizes that they can keep stringing this DUmmy along, provided they keep a glimmer of hope alive for liberallynn's delusions. A good old fashioned capitalist. As long as the checks clear or credit cards keep going through, the DUmmy is a cash cow.

TRANSLATION: I externalize my chemical imbalances and poor choices as the moral failings of others and then politically agitate to make my irrational ideations the law of the land.

What the Doctor was thinking:
OMG, this loon is soo crazy she cannot even tie her own shoes! And she thinks that she can do something about helping others that are suffering? If only she only knew just how close I am to signing a 302 (involuntary confinement order), then all this worry about global warming would suddenly disappear like EBT cards left at the Laundromat.

Hm-m-m-m...
Happily, few of the alarmists’ dire outcomes have come to pass. The worst of it was some out-of-sequence suburban plant activity down in Melbourne. Fairfax writer Suzy Freeman-Greene described a few months ago how global warming had brought terrifying climate change to her street: “Spring bulbs started coming up in a neighbour’s garden in May.â€
For a public conditioned to anticipate molten polar ice caps, empty dams and – for all I know – the spontaneous combustion of housecats, a few rogue bulbs just aren’t going to cut it. You can imagine how this absence of disaster is going down in climate alarmist circles. The poor dears are beside themselves.
“From depression to substance abuse to suicide and post-traumatic stress disorder, growing bodies of research in the relatively new field of psychology of global warming suggest that climate change will take a pretty heavy toll on the human psyche as storms become more destructive and droughts more prolonged,†wrote Madeleine Thomas last week for the online journal Grist.
“For your everyday environmentalist, the emotional stress suffered by a rapidly changing Earth can result in some pretty substantial anxieties.â€
But further reading of Thomas’s piece indicates that environmentalists are not wigging out because of climate change, but precisely because the climate isn’t changing. She quotes Washington DC forensic psychiatrist Lise Van Susteren, who says climate warriors are suffering from something called “pre-traumatic stress disorder.†As Thomas explains, this is a term describing “the mental anguish that results from preparing for the worst, before it actually happens.â€
Key words: “before it actually happensâ€. They are literally worrying themselves into illness over exactly nothing. As Quadrant‘s Tony Thomas pointed out last week, this sort of thing is so absurd that it “can’t really be satirisedâ€.
Indeed. Another US environmentalist cited by Grist, Gillian Caldwell, previously wailed: “We often feel like we are living in a parallel universe. Don’t people see that we are headed straight off a cliff? How could they possibly continue to argue that there is legitimate dispute about whether or not the planet is warming? How could the ones who know that it is warming leave all their incandescent bulbs on?â€
