I’m a diehard liberal. It ruined my parenting.
My intentions are good. I want my two daughters, 6, to think critically, to fight for fairness and justice whenever they can. I want them to value equality above all else. But sometimes, I also need them to do what I say. This contradiction is hard to explain.
Take a recent incident, involving some candy. I’d given each girl the same number of gumballs. But one of my daughters lost some. She then implored me for extra. “Now I have less and that’s not fair,†she moaned.
“But they’re my candy! It’s not my fault we lost some of hers!†the other one replied.

That summarizes liberals completely:
"Think Critically" is code for "follow my liberal masters' edicts in lockstep with no analysis at all" (also "anyone who doesn't agree with me isn't a Critical Thinker").
"Fairness" = "Fairness of outcome" -- her daughters are teaching her that this is both unfair and doesn't work.
"Justice" = "desired liberal outcomes" -- her daughters are also teaching her that liberal justice just punishes the good to protect the wicked.
And overall, these kids will grow up as self-indulgent brats who will spend their lives in detention center and eventually prison (if not dead early) from their entitlement ("you have to listen to ME") attitudes.
Let us pray these brats don't procreate (but they will -- early and often).

Written by Lena Dunham's father?
Don't believe that lie about the gumballs, Daddy Dunham. We know where they really are.
