KY Mitch McConnell attempts to suppress Democratic Voters......

The mailer looks official. It has big letters marked WARNING and "ELECTION VIOLATION NOTICE," seemingly designed to make you think you're the one violating something, and warns of a "possible fraud being perpetrated." But when you open it, it turns out to be a mailer from the Kentucky Republican Party and Mitch McConnell's committee warning you of "fraudulent information" being spread by the campaign of his opponent, Alison Grimes.

[picture of an envelope]

Mailed in envelopes that blare “ELECTION VIOLATION NOTICE” and state “You are at risk of acting on fraudulent information,” the Kentucky Republican Party issued a letter that accuses Grimes of “blatant lies” about McConnell’s advocacy for a local coal plant and his support from “anti-coal activists like Michael Bloomberg.”

Inside the envelope, you'll find a letter that starts out:

Dear Citizen,
This document serves as notification to you, as a resident of Kentucky and a registered voter in the aforementioned Commonwealth, of fraudulent information that is being deliberately spread to voters in your area.

The information that has been red-flagged as 100% false is being purposely spread by the campaign of the federal candidate named below:

Alison Lundergan Grimes,

... which then launches into a more standard political tirade against Grimes. As Salon's Luke Brinker says, it's "hard to see the mailers as anything but a shameless suppress voter turnout."

Once again McConnell proves he's unfit for public office.

4. He should try distracting voters with free cocaine instead

I would think approximately 90 pounds would do the trick.

I agree.  90 pounds of cocaine would distract most lefty voters.

Heh, the suit asks for an injunction on mailing them, even if they get a TRO pending a hearing, it doesn't matter now.  And it's obvious that (Low-ball that this mailer may be) it's in response to even lower lies by Grimes and the Dems.

In situations like this I always suspect a lib plant trying to indict conservatives by association.

Sadly, both sides are using these scare or shaming tactics.

That's what they said about the TEA party. Come to find out all the TEA party members who were so hateful, turned out to be lib plants. I suspect the same applies here.

Telling the democrat voters the truth about the democrat candidates is considered to be trying to suppress the vote?  :-)

They apparently think so.

The menacing letter sent out to a million New York Democrats to bully them into voting was written by a top campaign strategist who was appointed by Gov. Cuomo himself, sources told The Post.

The revelation comes as a “circular firing squad” of finger-pointing has erupted over who is responsible for the letter, which was sent out last week by the New York State Democratic Committee and caused “panic” in the Cuomo camp, sources said.

The letter warned voters that the party would be keeping tabs on who goes to the polls on Tuesday.

“Who you vote for is your secret. But whether or not you vote is public record,” the letter says.

“We will be reviewing voting records . . . to determine whether you joined your neighbors who voted in 2014.”

It ends with the ominous line: “If you do not vote this year, we will be interested to hear why not.”

Neal Kwatra, appointed by Cuomo to be the state Democratic Party’s chief campaign strategist, was identified by two key Democratic insiders as the “author” of the mailer.

“It was the brainchild of Neal Kwatra,” said one of the insiders. “He wrote the letter and sent it out, and now other Cuomo people are trying to distance themselves from it.”

Hopefully, it'll backfire on them, and cause a few races to tilt our way.
