Glad to see that the revolving door is still working!

Investigators were poring over the conflicting backgrounds Saturday of a Utah couple accused in a crime spree that killed two deputies, with federal authorities saying the 34-year-old man charged in the slayings has used at least two identities and has been deported from the United States twice in the past.

Marquez is suspected of being the triggerman in a crime spree that began at 10:22 a.m. Friday in a Motel 6 parking lot near the Arden Fair mall, where he allegedly shot and killed Sacramento sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver, 47, as the deputy approached a car Marquez and Monroy were in.

The couple, armed with an AR-15 rifle and at least two pistols, then allegedly took off and carjacked two other vehicles, shot a motorist who resisted giving up his car and fled to Auburn, authorities said. There, two Placer County deputies confronted them along a roadway and Marquez shot and killed Detective Michael Davis Jr. and wounded Deputy Jeff Davis, authorities say.

Sheriff’s officials have identified the suspect as Marcelo Marquez, but the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said in a statement Saturday that his name actually is Luis Enrique Monroy-Bracamonte.

I wonder how many times this fine, upstanding illegal alien was in contact with California authorities but not reported to ICE because of somebody's sanctuary policies?

On this morning's news they said he's been stopped like 17 times.

The American people have had to suffer for years from the depredations and theft of criminal immigrants for decades. It took cops getting killed to make the elites look down from their ivory towers.

Seriously. I don't see how Obama's administration can't be sued by the family since they are not fulfilling their duties to follow the law.

The federal government should cut off all money going to any city city that offers "safe haven" for illegals. They will never do it, though. It should have been done under president Bush, but it wasn't.

Illegal immigrants and drug laws are two big conflicts between federal and state laws, yet the feds just look the other way in both cases.  I don't understand how states or cities can pass laws in direct violation of constitutionally legal federal laws, yet they are never contested by the federal government.

But let a state try and pass laws protecting legal elections by passing voter ID laws, or laws against illegal immigrants and the feds are all over them.

it is not politically expedient for the fed government to reign in the states that are passing laws that are in conflict with federal law.

I posted on CU about how OSHA crawls all up our ass at one of the places I work to ensure that we have procedures in place to make sure we have a safe work environment, yet the same government that tasks OSHA to threaten and cajole businesses to ensure they provide a safe work environment for their employees are doing nothing to secure the border to keep dangerous illegal aliens out which create an unsafe environment for all of us to live in.
