Despite the accusations of a lot of liberals, who claim that conservatives and Republicans want to get rid of the EPA/FDA or various other agencies, what most of us (I think) would appreciate is simply streamlining or cutting back on the bureaucracy of the federal government.
Here is an example of what we're dealing with. A rather comprehensive list of current governmental agencies and their associated acronyms:

Almost all of those have their own websites. The cost for that alone must be huge when you factor in web design and IT people to keep them running.

There was a rhyme and reason I found that site, was looking for a specific agency website and that popped up.
Here are just a couple I stumbled upon:
