Drove by there on my way home, it looked packed. I've only been to the original one down by Drake. All their food is quite good.Curses. Foiled again. I may have to allow for more time. Maybe lunch on Saturday.
I remember seeing this place (well, not the new location) on Man v. Food.
JEALOUS. Not fair. :argh:

Damn, Rob. That burger looks good.
Best of luck to your friend!
OK, I went right after work. Got in, waited for 15 minutes.
The Bucket of Bacon is a metal toy bucket with 10 strips of bacon (crispy)...95 cents.
(my bucket was dry, not all that impressive)
The Bacon Wrapped Ribs is also an appetizer, you get three for $12 bucks.
There is a lot of BBQ offerings. I'm betting that will be the main stay for this restaurant.
I had the Triple Bacon Omelet, hash browns and toast $12. Pretty Good.
Mostly the specialty bacon dishes were burgers and sandwiches.
What I had was good for the price, but if you want the really decadent bacon dishes, you'll need to go to a bacon fest like the one in Kansas City last month.
Most of the items were around $10 to $14 bucks. Not a bad price really. People in this city have a special love for Jethros. I suggest if you want to try something bacony now, use the take out option and avoid the wait.
I will definitely go back, but it will be for the BBQ and not the bacon. Seriously, you can't beat the prices.
I could never eat that -- sorry I'm a wimp! I can't eat burgers that have the added starch on them, mac and cheese, fries, etc. Just give me a plain burger with whatever protein (bacon!), dairy or veggies and I'm good. I'll take the fries on the side.
A girl after my own heart.
