9. i was able to knock out the grocery shopping yesterday
but the soup is just about all a) i have the energy for and b) sounds edible.
i'm counting myself lucky that i don't feel cruddier. no chills/fever/aching, just a cough and chest congestion. i'm loading up on garlic, vitamin c and water and should probably take an expectorant just to speed things up. i'm also hoping the toddy will help, but boy, is it nasty. i am not a whiskey girl.

mulligatawny soup: Anglo-Indian
Feta: Greek
Clafoutis: French
Even the tomato can't be normal. It's got to be heirloom.
Around here we would have simply had beef and potato soup with a mater and peach cobbler, but we're not sophisticated like the DUmmies.

Yeah, that's Judy grasswire all right, who shops in the "international foods" section of the grocery store more than she shops in the rest of the place.
My first introduction to her, lo these many years ago, was when she described how she went shopping for groceries every single day because "that's what the Europeans do."
As if they like having to do it; I don't think most of them do.

Coach, you're too kind.
The truth is:

Sad that she had to talk him into going up the canyon, but having a pooter like a bowl of warm grits would be a real mood-killer.
The bicycle chick never has to talk mr. fizz into it.

That it does.
Judy grasswire considers herself to be a responsible welfare recipient, because she shoplifts the top-shelf groceries.
