five years ago today i married my awesome husband

the wedding party came over after the rehearsal dinner and we drank far too much far too late into the night, so i woke up dazed and slightly hungover on my wedding day, but that was easily fixed by a couple of bloody marys while i got ready. i wasn't nervous at all and once the ceremony started, i only had eyes and ears for my wonderful man. he later told me that i looked small to him because my smile was so big. i have never felt so beautiful as i did on that day.

after which a wedding picture

after which a second wedding picture

after which a third wedding picture

marriage isn't for the faint of heart and there were times i didn't think we'd make it this far, but we are stronger now than we've ever been and i love him more each day. he told me to not leave the house today, so i'm anxiously awaiting whatever it is i'm supposed to be waiting for. he's working today and will most likely be wiped out when he gets home, so we'll just be quiet tonight, but i am trying to talk him into heading up into the mountains on sunday for one last picnic of the season.

i wish you all the same love that i have known with him.

Well, of course congratulations to the fizzy one.

However, give it time.....

4. Oh, my dear fizzgig...

This is just the most beautiful post. You have written so movingly of your marriage, and your wedding...I really enjoyed reading it.

But......

When I got to your last line...I just lost it. You made the tears come into my eyes, and I thank you for that. Beautifully, perfectly written. Your love and respect for your wonderful man is absolutely palpable in every line.

Congratulations to you both!

8. thanks, miss peggy

i could go on and on about my wedding day, it was so fun and wonderful. like how my mother thought one of the husband's friends was a wedding crasher or how by the end of the night, it was just a few drunken friends and us dancing to the best of devo

i loved him from the minute we met and am so lucky that he loves me back.

By Thursday he will be the biggest S.O.B. to walk the planet and she is through with him.
Honestly even if he is a DUmbass like she is he has more patience then I would with her stoned out crazy.

I'm with you.  This post is pretty much the manic peak for her.  The depressive phase posts should be very entertaining.

5 years with the same nine partners....that's pretty good for DUmmies.

The same DUmmies that gave her props when she hated the guy are in this thread up twinkling her wonderful marriage.  They are all nuts.

So now fizz is in a manic phase. Not too long ago things were very different.

She vows to leave him whenever he complains about her being stoned every night.

He must have relented since they went to that pothead concert last week.

i'm done holding my marriage together with duct tape and chicken wire

we haven't been anything more than roommates for months and he's given up, so i see no reason in continuing.

at the wedding, his mother said i must have the patience of job. that patience is gone and i can't keep trying to cobble this together.

Quite the turnaround from a mere month or so ago, taken altogether it fairly screams 'Severe bipolar disorder.'

If it's not too personal, did dope, beer, and gut bombs help get you through?

Beer has been involved but no. Its just been a partnership, just us in a small boat on stormy seas with no life lines. Nothing like a Dummie marriage.

My wife and I have been at it about a third of the time that you and your wife have.  We've had our share of 'storms.'  We've come through it fine.  Are there more to come?  Sure.  God Wouldn't have It any other way. :whistling: :-)

It's possible she has a friend or relative on chemo and it's a solidarity thing, but I have a hard time imagining anyone who's such a self-promoting over-sharer wouldn't have said so again and again and again if that were the case.  My vote is for "Too stupid to realize how shitty it looks,"  or perhaps "Hubby has kind of a thing for fat ugly teenage boys."

It is not uncommon among mentally ill people.

She once said she shaves her head whenever she's depressed.

She's on an up cycle right now, so it'll probably get an inch long before the next buzz.

Isn't this the same husband she just got through calling a drunken lout wife abuser ?
I thought she just met the love of her life on a cruise.
I must be thinking of the wrong primitive.
