Barack Obama: Your Children Should Learn To Speak Spanish

WTH??? :censored:

It makes perfect to me, if he's considering opening the boarders. :banghead:
-
I'll learn Spanish for the same reasons I learned German and Russian when I was in high school.
To better understand my enemy. :hammer:

The United States of America is not like Europe. We are "united". The spoken native language doesn't change every time we cross a state border. All joking about regional dialect aside, that is the difference.
If the good people of New Jersey spoke Jersese and the so-so people of New York spoke Albanese, we would see more Americans speaking multiple languages out of necessity.
As it is, it's a luxury to learn a second (or third) language. Our lives don't depend on it.
Suck on that, B. Hussein.

Of all the arrogant.... :banghead:

Heard this on the radio today. Someone needs to get BHO a shovel .... he is digging his hole but I think a bigger shovel would make him much more productive.

BHO is a dumbass.

But but but what about French? Just to jog your memory, he thinks we need to speak that better as well:

I think the truth is his foreign language, but maybe that's just me. :whatever:
-
The important languages I might need to learn in the near future are Farsi, Arabic, Chinese and Spanish. Probably in that order.
When dealing with the french, I only need sign language. :bird:

what a fool. Sounds like he's throwing a meat bone to his kook fringe lefty supporters.
Hey Dumbo, this is America SPEAK ENGLISH.
And I'm hispanic.
:censored:

My deal is, it's never a bad idea to learn a second language. Hell, our economy is a global economy. "My" problem comes when some jackass, who probably ONLY speaks English, belittles everyone else and says, covertly, that we should be forced to.

MY problem is .... those of us who live in areas that require ballots be printed in ANOTHER FRICKIN LANGUAGE! How much do we spend in tax payer dollars to accommodate votes who speak another language?! Do these people who become citizens not have to speak English? How the hell do they get around the rest of the time? When are we going to spend MILLIONS make road signs for them? Would they accommodate me if I moved to their country?
We have to have our ballots, in our area, printed in English and Spanish. WHY? This is MY country and I want it back!!

Answer me this Barack ...
How many countries have areas in them that could be referred to as 'little United States' - a bunch of American Immigrants who live American lives, within a country that supports American English as a second language ?
Im waiting...
The answer is -zero- unless you consider American military bases. No country will support a foreign language and foreign customs to the level the Unites States already does. Where I live, nearly everything is translated into Portuguese, like the way things are translated into Spanish elsewhere. I susepct there are areas where everything is translated into French, Or Italian too..
The point is unless you speak the language or languages nearly everywhere else you are S.O.L. But here is The USA already doing (IMO) harm trying to accommodate too much, which only has the effect of fracturing the country into a bunch of pockets of ethnicity, ideology, and nationality. Tower of Babel anyone ?

Freakin asswipe.

heh (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/30594_Obama_Hipocrita)
The candidates appeared separately before the League of United Latin American Citizens at the Washington Hilton, making for a fun-filled afternoon of identity politics. The McCain campaign stocked the audience with posters announcing “Estamos Unidos McCain,†while the Obama campaign supplied stickers and posters saying, “Latinos for Obama.â€
“SÃ, se puede!†Obama, who doesn’t speak Spanish, said as he arrived on stage.
-
Asshat indeed.
Countries are defined by borders, language and culture.
I have no problem mastering Spanish. It comes in handy. But when they changed street signs and informational signs around here to make Spanish more prominent, then I started to have a problem with it. I stopped shopping at a few stores for doing that. They totally cater to the ILLEGAL immigrant population. But they don't cater to me anymore.

I hope people are really listening and processing what BHO is saying. He said we should be embarassed when Europeans come over and we can't speak their languages. This self-loathing, anti_American man could be our next POTUS... that is a frightening thought.

I speak American, Australian, English, and I'm about 50% on woman. I don't need another f'n language.

What we have is a failure to communicate. :uhsure:

I have no problem with children being taught a foreign language in school....even if started in elementary.
What I have a problem with, is not expecting people who come to this country, to not have to assimilate into the country...but remain aloof with all their own culture, language, etc.....AND to expect those of us here...born here .....to adopt their ways!!!
My step-grandmother came to Iowa in 1921 from Denmark. She had to learn English, speak it, read it, write it!
She had an accent (got really heavy when she was mad too!) but you could understand her perfectly well. She always had trouble with grammar when writing, but not speaking.
Obama is just sucking up to the Latino population to get their votes.... :bird:
