A day after a man scaled the fence and managed to get inside the front door of the White House, another man was arrested for trespassing after pulling his car into a White House access gate at 15th and E streets and refusing to leave, according to a Secret Service official.

The latest incident comes as the Secret Service has launched a White House security review into how a man was able to get inside the north door of the mansion Friday night. Authorities say Omar J. Gonzales, 42, of Copperas Cove, Tex., hopped over the north fence line near Pennsylvania Avenue about 7:20 p.m. Friday, setting off a standard security alarm indicating a breach of the perimeter. Officers demanded that he stop, but he did not respond, and they were unable to reach him on foot before he got inside the unlocked front doors of the presidential mansion. A guard stationed at the door subdued him.

Officers at the scene considered Gonzales to be unarmed and likely mentally disturbed, a law enforcement official familiar with the incident said. He had no package or backpack or bulky clothing, an indicator of having a possible bomb, so he was not viewed as someone the officers would have to shoot. Gonzalez is now undergoing monitoring at the psychiatric ward at George Washington University, according to the official. He is being interviewed by Secret Service investigators.

Fence jumpers to the White House happen more often.

Copperas Cove is right outside of Ft. Hood, so it would be intriguing if there was any connection to the post.

But yeah, Texas is the First Stop for many illegals on their way to EBT cards, Obamaphones, anchor baby anchors, welfare, and other gubmint handouts.  :whatever:

Secret Service Launches Probe Into White House Security Breach

The intruder who sprinted across the White House lawn and was able to enter the North Portico doors had a knife, officials said Saturday as the Secret Service pledged a review of Friday night’s security breach and increased patrols.

Omar J. Gonzalez, 42, an Iraq war veteran, was arrested after he hopped over a fence at 7:20 p.m. and sprinted across the lawn before entering the North Portico doors. Officials initially said Gonzalez was unarmed, but a law enforcement official told NBC News Saturday that Gonzales had a four-inch folding knife on him when he was arrested. Army records show Gonzalez is an Iraq war veteran who served as a cavalry scout, and he served in Iraq from 2006 to 2008.

President Barack Obama and his family were not present at the time of the incident.

The Secret Service on Saturday was reviewing how Gonzalez was able to make it as far as he did, and said in a statement that “the location of Gonzalez's arrest is not acceptable.” Secret Service Director Julia Pierson increased security patrols and surveillance of the White House fence and ordered an investigation into what went wrong.

The White House said in a statement Saturday that “the President has full confidence in the Secret Service and is grateful to the men and women who day in and day out protect himself, his family and the White House.”

Not happy about it being a vet, and his MOS was 'cavalry scout.' :argh: :censored:

I wonder if his name is on a waiting list at his local VA hospital. Putmos, Emperor of Denial should not rest until he finds out.

Whoopty shit is right!

I was searched by the Secret Service a few years ago, at Sturgis. I shared a stage at the Buffalo Chip with McCain during the 2008 campaign.

I locked up my .45 and folding knife on my bike before going through the checkpoint to go backstage, but the white-shirt took a challenge coin I had in my pocket (I got it back later). I asked him if he thought I was  a ninja, going to throw that coin like a throwing star. He gave me the voucher and said "Thank you, sir."

I'm sure we were all much safer with that assault coin locked up safely in the Secret Service's custody.

clearly this is not an illegal action.  the man was just a undocumented guest of the white house.  the fact that he is Hispanic and the majority at the white house are not shows the blatant racists are in charge.
the white house should apologize for all the previous transgressions and affect amnesty for all who wish to enter.  this clearly also affects the spread of ebola and climate change.          now we are making as much sense as any democrat,

Maybe the guy just showed up to make his own personal payment to Barry and Moochelle. After all, they deserve those reparations, right?

I could go for reparations....yeah, believe I could. If forever more, no one in their post reparation families get any government freebies like EBT, section 8, welfare, etc......and only pay them an amount equal to their enslaved ancestor at the time of the Civil War if they can prove they were a slave....most were worth a thousand or less.
