Every time Tom HARKIN speaks it's a renewal of what it means to be a Democrat
Been watching the Iowa rally. He and Iowa Democrats are fantastic.

2. IIRC, Bill owes Tom BIG for standing by him during the FAKE impeachment.
But then, he owes all of us. We all gave up precious time in "power" and energy we could have spent in working for the Democratic agenda instead of just on defending one person.

Harkin is a giant douche. Thank goodness he is retiring. Hopefully we can get Joni Ernst elected to replace him. That would just burn the Dems to no end, not only for losing the U.S. Senate seat, but for putting a Republican woman in place of him.

He's a testament to how far you can get in DemonRat politics when you're a lying Stolen Valor douchebag who happens to be the incumbent in a Senate seat the other party could possible win. And don't even get me started on what a travesty of the Iowa caucuses are, it's a highly-rigged game of machine politics that has nothing to do with popular sentiment in the state.

First time she's been here apparently since finishing 3rd in the 2008 caucus, behind Obumbler and John Edwards.
She & Bill were in town today for Harkin's stupid annual steak fry. Which always turns into a crappy liberal love fest. Google the list of featured speakers & honorary attendees through the years. It is basically a litany of the "leftist" hall of fame/shame. :puke:

The crowd expresses disapproval at this. “I’m here for the steak!†she says, which gets them cheering again. “For years I was more likely to be eating yak meat in Mongolia, and enjoying it, but thinking a lot of being back home.â€
So now she been eating yak meat. Was this was while she was dodging sniper fire?

There was a little blurb deep inside the local paper today that Bill Clinton made a nice little screw-up at that stupid steak fry over the weekend. He called the Dem running for Harkin's Senate seat "Bruce Bailey" rather than "Braley".
One wonders how President Bush would have been ripped apart for making such an error.
