- * - I Am REALLY Disappointed by Obama's Address Tonight - * -
Oh.
Shit.
I hit "Post my thread" button a little too soon.
I'll bet Chuck Todd and bloggers everywhere have already written the bulk of their comments in reaction to Obama's address.
^^^Skippy.

1. All the pundits agree
Obama's speech is going to be a disaster.
You gotta be impressed with the media though. Their ISIS fear mongering seems to be affecting public opinion. Now many more Americans want to get involved in the ISIS cluster****.

7. Boehner has already pronounced it a failure
And is criticizing the President's plan.

9. I heard Boehner wanted Congress to approve
But the news report wasn't clear exactly what the red one wanted approved.
I want Congress to approve a financing and staffing plan BEFORE they approve any action.

8. He didn't even mention Syria!!

You know, I posted this, and then just now thought of something.
Of course I'm current on the news, but sometimes there's too much of it.
Is Obambo making a speech this evening? Is it supposed to be good or something?
-
I think he is. They mentioned it on the radio earlier today.
Watch him be late as usual. Asshole.

I think the teleprompter is going to make him lie about how he's going to solve the world's ISIS problem.

Well, I have to change the air in the automobile tires this evening.
Should I put that off and watch for this speech instead, or should I just proceed as I'd planned?

Personally, I've got some serious toenail trimming to do.

Supposed to rain tonight. I could always go outside and count raindrops.

I'm confused by Skippy's post. Didn't he say he was disappointed in Obama's address just now, or is he writing the critique beforehand?

He's mocking the habit of pre-writing speech analyses.
As if journalists hadn't been doing that since Nixon was president.

3. Obama should do what Mike Tyson did
Tell all the republicans and pundits **** YOU
What do I care? I tell Field Marshal von ThreePutt, f*** you, at least six or seven times a day.
Tell him to stop by sometime.
-
I hope Obama's teleprompter crashes.....but barring that, I nominate Frank to take another bullet for the group and listen to Obama's speech tonight and tell us what he says. I know Frank will be hanging on his every word.
-
I think we are watching "Ender's Game" and "Captain American: The Winter Soldier" tonight. If not for that , I'd rearrange my computer cables before watching the SCOAMF stammer through another speech.
-

Yeah, that's what I'm expecting. Rah-rah bullshit with nothing behind it.
-
I read an article the other day that said the government was running ads for former military personnel to act as security contractors in the Mideast.
Article went on to analyze what Obama was really after....no boots on the ground so to speak. Also, when things go wrong he can leave them out there blowing in the wind. If they're military, people will expect him to save them. If they're contractors, to hell with the greedy bastards and the DUmmies will lap it up.
I would not trust Obama to have my back at any price.
-
"Ender's Game" was terrible. I had higher hopes.

Oh Hell, it's at 7:45 p.m.
Why didn't he just go ahead and deliver it once it was all written?
-
Well, I guess five more minutes.
<<<will "watch" it on Drudge, since no television.
If Obambo wants war, he'd better conscript the primitives to fight it for him.
-

Because the speechwriters are still at it? :whistling:

I have only one thing to say, "Channel changer don't fail me now."

Told you he'd be late.

Better than an Obumble's speech by far.

I'm watching Mike Brewer on Velocity. Good luck selling that Vespa.

"I can announce that America will lead a broad coalition to roll back this terrorist threat. Our objective is clear: we will degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counter-terrorism strategy."
Wait, isn't that why we went into Iraq in the first place?
The liberal media -- NPR -- has been riding that pony all day long, why we were wrong to go into Iraq in 2001 ("A stable regime") after 9/11.
This is, apparently, all our fault. :whatever:
-
President Obama authorizes U.S. airstrikes in Syria, senior administration officials say, as the president uses a prime-time address to the nation to call for a comprehensive campaign to wipe out Islamic State.
Be interesting to watch that happen without Congressional approval.
-
"...I want the American people to understand how this effort will be different from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It will not involve American combat troops fighting on foreign soil. This counter-terrorism campaign will be waged through a steady, relentless effort to take out ISIL wherever they exist, using our air power and our support for partner forces on the ground."
This guy is a clueless sack of crap.

By the way, it's the tenth anniversary of Dan Rather's Big Lie, the TANG memoes.

If ISIS isn't islamic what does that first I stand for numbnuts?

Israel? There have been some conspiracy nuts accusing ISIS of being an Israeli backed operation. I'm surprised that the DUmp hasn't picked up on it yet.
