SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WTVD) --  A 47-year-old woman was arrested over the weekend for allegedly misusing 911, according to Smithfield police.

Police said Crystal Spruill called 911 because she was upset her boyfriend would not give her any beer. Officers responded to an address on Fayetteville Street and told Spruill not to call 911 again unless she had a real emergency.

A few hours later, police said Spruill called again with the same complaint.

911. What's your emergency?

My boyfriend would not give me beer.
