A California teacher has been reprimanded for exasperated tweets that threatened violence against students at Newark Memorial High School.

Krista Hodges may be a popular history teacher among students, but she’s losing favor of parents who are irked by tweets that said “I already wanna stab some kids” and mentioned problem students that made her “trigger finger itchy.”

“I think she should be fired. She should not work in a school,” said one parent, Vanessa Chavez, to KNTV.

If a student said the same thing, police would arrest them.

Yeah, but students don't have a massive union to protect them.

The statements are nothing even close to an actual threats, it'd be a ridiculous overreaction to have anyone without a serious history of violence arrested for saying that.  Fairly inappropriate for a teacher, of course.  I'm guessing the parents that are most upset probably house the kids that most deserve to be shot.

I agree with both of you guys. Students do not have unions and get arrested what the teacher said. Students are bratty with parents trying to be friends. The teacher is clearly unprofessional.
