anniversary extravaganza plans are shaping up nicely
our five-year wedding anniversary is at the end of next month. i wanted to do something awesome for it and it looks like i'll get my wish. i know you guys are waiting with baited breath to know what we're doing
we're going to friday and saturday of riot fest and the plan (money dependent) is to get down there thursday, maybe get room service for dinner and then sleep in friday before heading to the festival. i want to hit the museum or something after we leave the hotel on sunday, but i think we'll just be too blown out for that.
we haven't gone out of town (i don't count visiting my mother) in a few years and it will be nice to get away. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!
eta: i'm hoping for nice weather, but it can be anywhere from snow to 90 degrees and we'll have to be prepared for anything.

3. thanks!
our anniversary is the only thing we celebrate. we don't do birthdays or valentine's day and christmas isn't much of a big deal, but we always do something special for our anniversary.
he hoarded his tip money to get me tickets for the night of the festival i wanted to see and i picked up a booth gig at the highlands festival next weekend, so i'll be able to get the tickets for the night he wants to see. he hates crowds and it just reminds me how lucky i am to have someone willing to do that for me.

What's always intrigued me about the state of affairs in the fizzy household is that they're both always scrimping, always saving pocket-change, whatnot, for special things.
I don't think the fizzy one understands that doing booze and dope is a great way to stay poor.
<<<knows; it's been a long time, but been there, done that.
If they quit the booze and dope, they'd be in fat city.

i'm done holding my marriage together with duct tape and chicken wire
we haven't been anything more than roommates for months and he's given up, so i see no reason in continuing.
But he's the kind of career man that women love:
he hoarded his tip money
I guess you can understand how a guy who works for tips would get fed up with a wife who spends every evening smoking from a stash of dope.
-
That kind of thing is inevitable when your "duct tape and chicken wire" is beer and weed.

She said once that she liked to smoke a bowl or two at night.
Being I know nothing about weed, how much does that stuff cost? It's legal in Colorado.

When I was young and dumb, I was paying between $20-35 for three ounces (a quarter). A half-pound was $60 or more depending on quality. You can do the math.
If you nurse a quarter bag of good stuff and smoke alone, it might last a week. I spend less on beer these days, but the price of beer has gone up the same. I used to buy a 12-pack of quality beer for $11 at the time. I'm spending $14 these days and usually buy three a month.

Ya know something? When I quit drinking--it'll be five years at the end of October--I had a lot more money to spend. I've been able to buy two good vehicles, a house, and put my daughter in a private school, all because I got sober and had the money to get those things.
H5, sir.

Riot Fest? I can imagine how attractive that would be to a DUmmie. But it is an official thing?
Their anniversary is in Ferguson?

Her hubby really needs a job that keeps him on the road one week out of four, and be able to pick the weeks.

Around these parts, we refer to it as Fergustan.

Riot Fest is a component for an anniversary extravaganza?
The rest of the time will be fishing for steelheads and shopping at Cabelas. It has to be. Either that or it's Mr. Party at Home time.
Seriously, time to trade in that used large screen for a Bass Boat with a 115 HP Mercury. That would be something to celebrate!

They sold all of them. Great advertising.
I would need to buy a second refrigerator.

And they would have more in their freezer besides chicken legs.
