How hard is it to fire a police officer?
Is it made harder by collective bargaining: hearings, lawyers, appeals, investigations, pushing paper, etc. Maybe we need to look into that.

I don't want the police to be empowered. I want them to be afraid for their jobs

How about useless teachers as well?

I'm all for doing away with public sector unions, and that is what this DUmmie is blaming the difficulty in firing cops on.  Can't do it with police unless we do it with all public unions, though. Still it would be a start.

Why not just fire them all?  Care to guess how long your gun-grabbing ass would last, DUmmie?

4. Police officers should not have collective bargaining rights. Period.

They should be so afraid of losing their jobs and being prosecuted that they do their work responsibly and in the interest of the public.

Unfortunately that is not the case.

Oh the irony.

DUmmies says police shouldn't have rights.....I don't think lawyers should be allowed to hold public office or government positions....lets trade....I'll take the cops and you DUmmies can depend on lawyers to protect you.

I want street thugs to be afraid for their lives. But nothing hinders this fool from posting a nice large sign on his/her front door or porch:

The owner and occupants of this home are unarmed, will not otherwise defend themselves, and refuse to call the police in the even of robbery or personal violence.

Put your lives and $$ where your mouth is, DU-Fool!

Oh the DUmmie's attitude would change then. He would be all for "grabbing a gun" then.

Well logically speaking I would think that would take away any type of incentive to stop a crime. More crime would occur because you made the police officer scared he would lose his job if he used any type of force that YOU might freak out over.  Why jeopardize your job catching a criminal?

Instead of scaring the cops, why not scare the criminals with death or long term imprisonment. Then maybe we wouldn't even need cops or at least a lot fewer of them.

If you're a criminal, be afraid, very afraid.
