I know she was a big Democrat, but she was a great actress IMO - at least she didn't hang herself.
Didn't her friends call her Betty? She was very attractive even into old age.

AFAIK, she was always referred to as Lauren. Great actress, married Bogie back in the early Fifties. RIP, Lauren. You were one of the film noire greats.

One by one all the greats are leaving us. At least she will never see the decline and fall of a once great nation.
She may have been a democrat, but she comes from a time when democrats were statesmen and not communist wannabes.
I used to think I was born too early because I wanted to go into space.
But now I think I was born too late because I never got to know the greatest generation. They knew how to live life. WWII taught the nation what was important and what was frivolous. Pity. That lesson is lost.
RIP Lauren.

Today just gets worse and worse!
Can someone wake me up when we can have a day where we don't lose someone?

Occasionally I'll watch a black and white movie with all the old greats.
I love the women's clothes and set designs from the 30's and 40's.
