I was denied ssdi again it's denial number two

I have 4 kids I have to use a walker my back is very messed up. I also have copd, diabetes, high blood pressure and severe depression is setting in I have lost 5 people in 18 mos. I am trying so hard to reach out to an agency that I paid into for help and keep getting slapped down. I really don't get it my PCP and my other specialists gave them all my records. I visited 5 different doctors they sent me to. I don't know how much longer I can go on here without financial help from them.

13. Please PLEASE get an attorney.

I tried for years on my own, increasingly frustrated because those I was dealing with had no reason to take me seriously. Once I got the lawyer, their attitude changed. It was still frustrating, but the lawyer dealt with the BS better than I could. Finally got a court date (and how sick is it that hurting people need to go before a judge to prove the hurt?!), but they reached a decision a week before that. Within a period of ten days, I got SSDI then SSI then they said to heck with it and put me on full Social Security (lawyer said because it was cheaper for them). Only thing I cared about was that I was finally able to see a doctor. That was 1992, and I hoped things would improve over time; sorry to hear you're still dealing with the same stuff.

Again, lawyer up. That's why the contingency fee exists. I'll be thinking of you.

23. Unfortunately people who are disabled by possible lifestyle choices

like smoking and overeating are the target of asterians world wide. Even within our party, Rahm Emanuel would be pretty pleased you were denied disability benefits.

25. Hi

I don't overeat I am a type 1 diabetic. I don't smoke, my job as a Security Officer put me in a lot of factories. Breathing in secondhand smoke didn't help. I fell off a 12 ft. ladder 2 years ago. It's not lifestyle that caused any of this. So glad there is always someone who always assumes I somehow am at fault for my health problems. My high blood pressure is from kidney damage due to diabetes. My blood sugar was out of control because of high levels of stress. I lost both of my parents last year within 4 mos both a shock not expected really. Not to mention a cousin a beloved aunt and uncle close to the time my parents died.

This is no gravy train for the elderly who worked from the time they were allowed to by state law, or for the people with children born with a bad problem because the parents refused to get an abortion when ultra sound showed they would likely have a child that would need life long care.

Old folks never 50+ years ago never expected their life would depend on the taking drugs that cost the earth and who knows if they  the drugs work in the first place. Their gravy train has to leach out a good bit of money for the drugs not covered by insurance.  No vacations for them, not their fault they just got old.

Most of you are too young to remember the Thilimidie [spelling?]  baby' from their doctors that was to prevent spontaneous expulsion from the Womb.  Born with no arms or legs, just flippers because the mothers took a drug everyone said was safe. Was it their fault they wanted the child and refused to abort ??

I worked with a woman who had a daughter about my age back then that wore a heavy brace on her leg.  She had been given a bad batch of Polio vaccine. The parents were bought off by the drug maker, received really chump change,  but not looking down the road, just wanting to have enough money to care for their child never gave a thought that their child would grow up to be unable to work as an adult or properly care for her own children.

People with adult kids or teens in bad accidents how do they handle the idea they may have to be a care giver for the rest of their natural lives and have nightmares about what will happen to the child if they were to die.

The people on the gravy train are mostly adults and unless in a coma can do something,

--Hell I had to with my shoulder broken in 3 places go back to work as they said they could find me a job working with just one hand. Unfortunately this work caused my shoulder to get must worse and I did receive some chump change and as my worry was about keeping my job, I today after being retired , not laid off or fired still have problem, no way I can fasten a bra and my love of Kayaking is gone all the things I enjoyed was and is not worth money to sue.  I cook with cast iron pans and pots or did, no more without someone with me to handle the weight.

Get yourself  problems in the hands from years of work.  Trust me ,

I was 30-40  at the time, my most important thing was to keep my job, screw the
free ride, what fun or  self esteem is it to  go for doing nothing.

People ask what we do for a living, darn if one does nothing, can not stand up with pride and say I dig ditches, pump out septic tanks, carry bed pans in a hospital,
I do child care, manage a chicken ranch, or fish for a living or live in the wilderness and hunt and trap to feed my family what use are they  ??
The back bone of America.

Those really disabled from any number of reasons,  need us, they are the people we need to help.

Those who are disabled due to drug abuse or cannot hold a job due to being drunks or
a history of being felons or child abusers------kick them to the curb, no way they can be changed by the head doctors, they are not worth saving.

thalidomide    a drug formerly used as a sedative, but withdrawn in the early 1960s after it was found to cause congenital malformation or absence of limbs in children whose mothers took the drug during early pregnancy.

One of my wife's schoolmates was affected by this drug.  She had no arms, just little appendages on her shoulders.  Learned how to do everything with her feet, toes.  Still see her from time to time around town, shopping etc.

Of course you are assuming that it contributed anything in the first place.

The Random Letters primitive

Translates to: "I am morbidly obese. Only the government can save me from myself"

There's a reason doctors use the word "morbidly". Fat DUmmy's gonna die if Obama doesn't drag her big ass aboard the gravy train.

Not a word about her weight, but lots of excuses why her poor health is not her fault. Definitely morbidly obese.

Hey, Random Letters primitive: Your death will not be a surprise; you'll see it coming. When The Grim Reaper comes for you, he's going to have to rent a Ryder truck and bring some lifting help.

Every time there's a thread about deadbeats, I wonder about Amber Hoyt.

Has she continued her meteoric rise up the corporate ladder?

Has she found bliss with Dreamboat Dave?

Is she living in a teepee with the other squaws, hauling weed from mexico for the chief?

Or is she back in Missouri with Annette and Crystal Naydean, sharing Crystal Naydean's singlewide and battling the bedbugs?

Not making fun of her at all but she sounds like she is severly obese and needs to lose weight to rid herself of all these problems.

eta: guess I should read the entire thread before I post  :rotf:
