Title: DUmmies Discuss Sunday Dinner While Fizz is Pissed
Post by: GOBUCKS on July 28, 2014, 03:14:28 PM
DUmmy Lucinda is still laid up with her hookworm infestation, so the supper bouncies are led by cbayer the thread slayer, who spends a lot of effort rubbing DUmmy noses in her affluence:

What's for your Sunday supper on this beautiful July 27, 2014?

I am going to make crostini with peas, mint and parmesan for starters. I also have some cheese I got yesterday with black truffles in it that I might put on top.

Then a simple pasta with arugula and prosciutto.

We have discovered the plum tree, which is brimming with rip fruit, so I might make a dessert out of that. Any suggestions?

The figs are about done, but the plums are ready. The apples and pears need a couple of weeks.

What a bounty! And DH just keeps finding more trees every day.

16. It's not hot here. In fact, it is perfect.

I can use the oven anytime!

An example of a DUmmy who claims to spend the entire day preparing supper:

My dinner today is simpler. We were craving some middle eastern food and wanting a light meal after our meat and potatoes last night, so.....

I made a yogurt salad with mint, finely chopped cucumber and green onion, that is a Persian salad.

Then I made baba ganoush, and then my very favorite tahineh sauce, with tahini, fresh squeezed lemon juice, salt, and a few slices of jalapeño because I like that with this sauce. And water, because that is necessary to thin it to the proper sauce consistency.

My bread machine is now making the dough for my pita bread I will bake on a pizza stone, and I plan to make tabbouleh salad also. So it will be a mezze type of meal, really. But plenty flavorful.

And pothead DUmmy fizz brings the girls back to earth:

This is an indicator of some upcoming DU comedy gold.  When this relationship goes the rest of the way south, it will spillover to DUmmyland for sure.

Translation: Mr. fizz is banging the shit out of some chick he met on the bicycle trail, while fizzy sits at home sucking the filling out of another box of Little Debbie Swiss Rolls.

We can't blame Mr. fizz. Women who ride bicycles have great muscle tone "down there". fizzy's marijuana-marinated cootch is as flaccid as an old inner tube, and her ass looks like 40 pounds of chewed gum.

Now that there is what is called 'Steel on target.'

UPDATE: In the by in by, Mr. Turd gave the fizzy one a piggyback ride from the parking lot (where she fell and hurt her ankle) to the home.

See it all here... http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018645331

I guess Mr. Turd will be on disability for a while while his back mends.

I'm always impressed by the loving respect fizz shows toward the noble soul who tolerates her marijuana-besotted mental illness.

And she works so hard to make herself attractive, gaining a ton of weight, shaving her head, and describing herself (accurately) as a sack full of smashed assholes.

11. I had a coupon...

....for $2 off a five pound bag of sugar with purchase of a box of pectin. Your deal was even better!

Cavers probably buy that cheaper stuff from genetically modified sugar beets. I only buy pure cane sugar from Hawaii.

I bet ancient waterhead Judy could never color inside the lines back in grade school either.

C&H Pure Cane Sugar from the California and Hawaii sugar company?  The stupid DUmmie doesn't realize that sugar made from beets is completely chemically identical to cane sugar.

High fructose corn syrup is also identical and just as natural.

What a strange thing to say, Judy.

Everyone knows I sweeten my tea with the tears of despondent DUmmies. Your tears are so sweet and yummy.

Yeah.  Old-ass Judy is a paragon of health because of the sugar she buys.

She's just hinting for inclusion in my latest story, but isn't aware franksolich hasn't visited the cooking and baking forum for several days now, and probably won't, until the story's done.

Everybody wants to be a "victim" of franksolich; apparently it's a status symbol on Skins's island now.

But it doesn't look to me as if Judy grasswire's going to make that star-studded cast; not because of any bad feelings about her, but simply because I want to use previously-unused primitives, and Judy grasswire's had more than her moments in stardom.

I dunno about that being literally true, I remember the sugar in Germany (Made from beets) having a slight but noticeable bitter aftertaste, which I always figured was due to some small compositional differences vs. cane sugar, likely some trace stuff from the beets that behaved enough like the sugar chemically that it couldn't be completely separated in the processing.

And since the main sweetness in cane sugar is the sugar sucrose, I would think it's probably not identical to high-fructose (A different sugar) corn syrup (Which itself necessarily means 'Some other stuff besides the fructose is in here').

The different taste for the sugar from from beets could have been in the process they used there.

However, both HFCS and white sugar both contain fructose and glucose with HFCS containing only a slightly higher percentage of fructose.

No brand of sugar in the world could have fixed this deranged glop in a pan.

Well, you have to admit that the Strawberry Trainwreck at least looks like it might taste OK, even if it isn't particularly photogenic, unlike the now-legendary Vomit Stew.

Obsessed much, Judy?

I don't buy sugar, she said condescendingly.
